The Staff Accountant is a critical role on the Accounting team that helps Nomad make financial decisions by collecting, tracking, and managing our company’s finances. This role partners closely with others in the Finance team as well as cross-functionally across the organization. External communication is also a critical function of this role. This role is responsible for supporting the accounting team through day to day transactions, month end close, financial audits, and other special projects.
Responsibilities/What You Will Do- Process vendor invoices in an accurate and timely manner; manage vendor inquiries and correspondence
- Manage supplier profiles and information in our ERP for compliance; ensure accurate and up-to-date information
- Proactively review AP Aging reports and perform GL expense account analyses
- Review employee travel and expense reimbursements
- Prepare vendor and employee expense payments
- Maintain documentation for corporate credit card transactions and perform credit card reconciliations
- Record day to day accounting transactions, such as intercompany, prepaid expenses, accruals, debt, and fixed assets
- Perform banking transactions and record daily cash entries
- Work with Controller to create and submit year-end 1099 filings, sales and other tax filings as needed
- Perform month end account reconciliations in an accurate and timely manner
- Handle other accounting tasks, audit requests, month-end close tasks, schedules, and special projects, as needed.

- Required education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 3+ years of accounting experience, including prior experience in journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and accounts payable
- Knowledge and application of accounting principles and standards
- Experience with navigating and using ERP systems; Workday and Quickbooks experience, a plus

Compensation for this full-time position is determined as a reflection of your skills, experience, and geographic location. Each geographic location has a benchmarked, specific modifier; below is general guidance on base compensation in key metro areas. Actual compensation may be slightly higher or lower.
- Tier 1: $94,000 - $103,000 (NYC, SF, Seattle)
- Tier 2: $83,500 - $91,500 (Boston, DC, Chicago, San Diego, Los Angeles, Austin)
- Tier 3: $80,000 - $87,000 (All other locations)
