The Position
- The Staff Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager. This person will assist with the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, month-end close and various ad hoc projects. He/She will also assist the Senior Accountants with responding to analytical requests from our functional partners.
Essential Functions
- Analyze selected balance sheet and income statement accounts on a monthly basis
- Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries and account reconciliations
- Participate in the month-end closing processes
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports
- Collect, monitor and analyze data to assess accuracy and integrity of various transactions
- Prepare and maintain financial schedules and worksheets
- Assist with the preparation of audit schedules for the external auditors
- Assist and perform various ad hoc projects
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting from an accredited university
- 0-3+ years in general accounting roles
- Strong numeracy and analytic skills
- Good problem-solving and time management skills
