About Our Team:
At Micron Technology, our QRA (Quality and Reliability Assurance) team plays a critical role in ensuring the performance and reliability of SSD products used in data centers. We collaborate across engineering, business, and customer-facing teams to resolve product issues and drive continuous improvement.
Position Overview:
As an SSD RMA (Returned Material Authorization) Engineer, you will lead failure analysis efforts on customer-returned SSDs, identifying root causes and contributing to product quality enhancements. In a lead role, you will also manage workflow, prioritize tasks, and mentor team members to support career development and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
Conduct electrical and mechanical failure analysis on SSD customer returns
Generate and communicate detailed FA reports to external customers
Manage escalation processes and coordinate with internal teams
Maintain and expand knowledge of FA tools and methodologies
Serve as a technical liaison for customer-facing teams, offering data insights and consultation
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer, or Systems Engineering
Solid understanding of NAND flash memory and SSD architecture
Strong project and time management skills
Effective written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with PCIE, SATA, and bus tracing tools
Programming knowledge (e.g., Python, C++)
Proven ability to manage escalations and cross-functional communication
Flexible work schedule and commitment to ongoing technical development
Leadership experience in workflow management and team development
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$77,500.00 - $131,500.00Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
