About Our Team:
Micron’s QRA (Quality and Reliability Assurance) team is dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of SSD product reliability and performance. We work closely with engineering, business, and customer-facing teams to analyze returned products, resolve technical issues, and drive continuous improvement.
Position Overview:
As a QRA SSD RMA Engineer, you will lead formal failure analysis efforts on customer-returned SSDs, identifying root causes at both the electrical and physical levels. You will manage critical RMA cases, produce detailed reports, and serve as a technical liaison to internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Perform electrical and mechanical failure analysis on returned SSDs
Generate and communicate comprehensive FA reports to internal and external teams
Lead escalations for RMA cases, ensuring timely resolution and updates
Set up and manage debug systems for DOE and error replication
Provide technical consultation and support to customer-facing teams
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer, or Systems Engineering, or a related field
7+ years of experience in product engineering, system engineering, validation, or quality assurance
Strong background in failure analysis and system-level testing
Proficiency in SSD architecture and NAND flash memory operations
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the storage industry and customer-facing technical roles
Familiarity with PCIe, SATA, and bus tracing tools for system debugging
Strong time management and project coordination skills
Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous technical development
Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed
The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$95,000.00 - $200,500.00Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
