Education Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience
- Advanced academic training or certification in user research or a related discipline is a plus
Experience
- 5–7 years of experience conducting user research for digital products or services.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in Agile or iterative delivery environments.
- Experience translating research insights into recommendations for product, design, and technology teams.
- Experience engaging with stakeholders and presenting findings to business and technical audiences.
Travel Requirements
Up to 25% of the time Domestic and International Travel
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong understanding of user research methods and human-centered design principles.
- Ability to frame research problems, select appropriate methods, and synthesize insights across studies.
- Ability to lead both generative and validation research, from early discovery through design and usability validation
- Skilled at communicating research findings clearly through presentations and written deliverables.
- Comfortable managing multiple research efforts simultaneously.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and influence decision-making.
- Experience supporting accessibility and inclusive design through research and evaluation.
- Experience using UX research platforms, collaboration tools, and AI-assisted workflows to support research delivery.

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $110,000 - $140,000 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.

Overview
The Senior User Experience (UX) Researcher partners with product, design, engineering, and client teams to generate insights that inform product direction and improve user experiences. This role is responsible for planning and conducting user research, translating findings into actionable recommendations, and supporting teams in delivering intuitive, effective digital products and services.
Job Responsibilities
- Leads user research efforts across one or more products, clients, or Agile delivery teams.
- Plans and executes qualitative and quantitative research to inform product strategy, design decisions, and prioritization.
- Selects appropriate research methods based on project goals, timelines, and level of risk.
- Recruits and coordinates research participants as needed to support planned research activities
- Conducts usability testing, interviews, contextual research, surveys, and analytics-based analysis.
- Synthesizes research findings into clear insights and recommendations that teams can act on.
- Partners closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and client stakeholders throughout discovery, design, and delivery.
- Advises teams on usability, design validation, and user-centered best practices.
- Manages multiple projects ensuring deadlines are met and team collaborate to align creative work with overall business goals.
- Mentors and supports Associate- and Professional-level UX researchers.
- Contributes to the development and adoption of shared UX research practices and standards.
- Uses industry-standard research and collaboration tools (e.g., UserTesting, Mural) and incorporates AI thoughtfully into research workflows to improve efficiency, synthesis, and insight generation.
- Stays current with industry trends and incorporates best practices into research approaches.
