This position will help build our staff augmentation recruiting capability, support strategic proposal recruiting, and partner closely with Sales, Program Management, and business leaders on critical talent needs.

The ideal candidate brings deep technical recruiting experience across both staffing agency and corporate environments. You understand the speed and urgency of staffing while bringing the consultative approach and business partnership required within a corporate Talent Acquisition function.

This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence several times per month at our Herndon, VA and/or Annapolis, MD locations.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Build the recruiting framework for Iron Bow's staff augmentation practice, establishing scalable processes, workflows, service levels, and operating procedures.
  • Partner closely with Sales and Program Management to translate customer and business requirements into effective recruiting strategies.
  • Establish processes for requirements intake, prioritization, candidate submission, feedback, communication, and handoffs across Recruiting, Sales, Program Management, and Delivery.
  • Support strategic proposal recruiting, including sourcing and engaging contingent candidates, key personnel, and incumbent talent.
  • Build proactive talent pipelines to support current and anticipated staff augmentation and proposal requirements.
  • Develop sourcing strategies to identify highly qualified technical talent across competitive and specialized skill sets.
  • Provide talent market intelligence on candidate availability, compensation, market conditions, and potential recruiting challenges.
  • Manage multiple concurrent searches and priorities while delivering a high-quality candidate and stakeholder experience.
  • Track recruiting activity and leverage data to evaluate pipeline health, identify gaps, and continuously improve recruiting outcomes.
  • Serve as a trusted talent advisor to business leaders throughout the recruiting process.

SKILLS THAT DRIVE SUCCESS

  • 8+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience
  • Recruiting experience in both a staffing agency and an internal corporate Talent Acquisition environment required.
  • Experience supporting federal government contracting and proposal recruiting, including contingent hires, key personnel, and incumbent capture.
  • Strong understanding of the federal contracting lifecycle and partnership between Talent Acquisition, Sales, Capture, Business Development, Proposals, Program Management, and Delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience building, improving, or scaling recruiting processes and capabilities.
  • Experience recruiting for staff augmentation, contract staffing, or project-based technical requirements.
  • Strong direct sourcing and pipeline development capabilities, including engaging passive talent.
  • Experience operating in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments with an emphasis on speed, quality, and responsiveness.
  • Strong candidate assessment, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Ability to build trusted, consultative relationships with hiring managers and senior business stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate independently, navigate ambiguity, establish structure, and adapt as business needs evolve.

WHAT SETS YOU APART

  • Experience operating in a startup, high-growth, or build-from-the-ground-up environment.
  • Experience helping establish or scale a staff augmentation recruiting function.
  • Understanding of staff augmentation economics, including pay rates, bill rates, markups, and margins.
  • Established networks within the technology, staffing, or government contracting communities.

WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT!

  • This is an opportunity to do more than manage requisitions. You'll help build Iron Bow's staff augmentation recruiting capability while supporting strategic proposals and partnering directly with leaders across Sales, Program Management, Capture, Proposals, Delivery, and Talent Acquisition.
  • You'll bring your staffing expertise and recruiting experience to help create scalable processes, influence talent strategy, and support Iron Bow's continued growth.
