Position OverviewRectangle Health is seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to join our growing product team and help define the future of healthcare payments. In this role, you’ll work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and subject matter experts to translate complex business needs into well-documented technical requirements. Your focus will be on a large-scale initiative involving API development and the launch of a new business application.
You’ll play a critical role in ensuring clarity and alignment from discovery through delivery — with a strong emphasis on technical depth, systems thinking, and collaboration.

- Partner with Product Managers to elicit, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for new platform functionality
- Participate in requirements gathering sessions with cross-functional stakeholders (product, engineering, operations, compliance)
- Write clear, concise user stories, workflows, data mappings, and API specifications
- Collaborate with engineering to review and refine technical implementation details (e.g., API payloads, endpoints, error handling)
- Help define acceptance criteria and participate in sprint planning and backlog grooming
- Maintain and organize documentation to support development, QA, and user enablement
- Ensure traceability from business needs to system requirements and delivered features
- Support UAT, triage issues, and ensure proper handoffs to delivery and support teams
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Analyst in a software development environment
- Strong technical fluency — you can understand APIs, data flows, and system interactions
- Demonstrated success working on projects that involved building or integrating APIs
- Experience in healthcare, fintech, or other regulated domains strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills — you can bridge the gap between business and technical audiences
- Comfortable working remotely with distributed teams
- Experience with agile development methodologies and Jira/Confluence
Bonus Points For
- Familiarity with healthcare payments, claims, or revenue cycle processes
- Experience writing or reviewing API documentation
- Previous experience supporting a Product Manager or acting as a proxy PO
- Business process mapping or BPMN experience
