We are actively seeking a talented Senior Systems Analyst to join our Distribution Partner Integration (DPI) team in in support of the Consumer Markets Division, based in Newport Beach, CA. This role can be hybrid or fully remote.
As a Senior Systems Analyst, you will play an important role in Pacific Life’s growth and long-term success by supporting and enhancing the exchange of data between Pacific Life and our Distribution Partners using various industry standards. You will fill an existing role on DPI’s Data team, consisting of product owners, systems analysts, and QA analysts, and you will work closely with technologists across the organization and business partners such as key account managers.
How you will make an impact:
Leverage your insurance industry/technology experience and analytical skills to identify and propose data strategy opportunities and facilitate data integration efforts between internal and external stakeholders
Manage cross-functional project deployments; communicate/socialize project objectives and benefits to business and technology partners
Leverage strong data analytics background to administer and mature reporting capabilities using available reporting tools; create/validate/maintain reporting standards, to ensure data integrity
Through partnership with internal business and technology teams, assess automation opportunities, and recommend process, product, or service enhancements
Solve unique or complex problems and identify innovative solutions that have a broad impact on the business
The experience you will bring:
8+ years annuity industry experience, a minimum of 5 years systems analysis experience focusing on complex data integrations
Undergraduate degree in business/ technology concentration or equivalent experience
Working knowledge of DTCC and ACORD annuity industry standards
Applied experience working with DTCC data structures and policy admin systems integration
Demonstrated ability to form meaningful partnerships (internal/external) at all organizational levels resulting in practical solutions to complex problems
Excellent problem solving, root cause analysis, critical and strategic thinking skills
What will make you stand out:
Knowledge of enterprise architecture and business data flows within annuity administration ecosystem
Proponent of Agile approaches, with the ability to succeed in a hybrid SDLC model
Experience mentoring team members on analyst/industry best practices
Experience actively participating in industry forums, documenting key topics, identifying opportunities for influencing outcomes; coordinate responses on Pacific Life’s behalf
Experience with FIDx/Envestnet or similar third-party platforms
Industry Forum experience with Insurance Retirement Institute (IRI) OpsTech group, DTCC/I&RS Advisory and Pilot working groups
Business Analyst certification(CBAP)

Base Pay Range:
The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
