The Senior Supply Chain Manager (SCM) is a leadership role responsible for the end-to-end oversight and strategic execution of the supply chain, ensuring continuity and security of supply for Motorola products. This involves managing relationships with Electronic Manufacturing Service (EMS) partners (specifically for both Land Mobile Radio (LMR) and Video solutions) and extending influence to Tier 2 and Tier 3 suppliers via the EMS partners.
The role focuses on developing, implementing, and managing product fulfillment strategies to ensure accurate, cost-effective, and resilient product supply across a global network of suppliers and customers.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Planning
● Strategy Development: Formulate and implement both short-term and long-term supply chain strategies that directly align with overarching business objectives and market demand.
Operational Excellence: Identify, champion, and drive opportunities for continuous process improvement, leveraging advanced methodologies to enhance supply chain performance, agility, and cost efficiency.
Global Coordination: Direct and synchronize supply chain activities end-to-end from component suppliers into the EMS and then from the EMS to Motorola’s North America and International DCs. Supplier Management & Risk Mitigation
Partner Oversight: Oversee performance of strategic EMS partners, ensuring they meet stringent requirements for volume, quality, and delivery timelines.
Supply Assurance: Proactively engage and audit upstream (Tier 2 & 3) suppliers, working in collaboration with EMS partners, to secure critical component supply and mitigate potential shortages or disruptions.
Performance Management: Establish, track, and report on key supplier performance metrics (e.g., On-Time Delivery, Quality Rate, Lead Time adherence) and lead operational negotiations.

Integrated Planning & Logistics
Demand & Inventory Management: Serve as a key stakeholder, collaborating with Demand Planning teams to refine forecasting models, optimize inventory holding levels, and align supply capacity with the agreed-upon planning horizon.

Logistics Optimization: Manage global transportation and distribution strategies, focusing on optimizing routes, modes, and providers to ensure timely delivery while aggressively minimizing landed costs.

Management & Collaboration
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of supply chain professionals, setting clear performance objectives, managing succession planning, and fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
Cross-Functional Integration: Serve as the primary SCM liaison, collaborating closely with critical functions including Procurement, Operations, Finance, Quality Assurance, Test Engineering, and Product Management to ensure seamless NPI (New Product Introduction) and lifecycle management.
