You will leverage deep knowledge of claims subrogation and recovery to shape and accelerate Shift’s subrogation detection and automation solution. In a highly collaborative role, you will identify and prioritize subrogation business needs across carriers (personal and commercial lines) and drive go-to-market strategy, execution, demos, and enablement.
Key responsibilities Strategy & market definition
- Identify and prioritize high impact subrogation detection and automation use cases across lines (auto, property, workers’ compensation) and states.
- Define a long-term product and business vision that justifies carrier investment in automation and analytics.
- Help segment the market with relevant business variables (LOB, claim volume, state law/regulatory differences).
- Collaborate with Product, Product Marketing, and Solutions Consulting to translate market segmentation into targeted offerings and client use cases.
Go-to-market execution & client engagement
- Support in developing discovery frameworks and lead/substantively contribute to client discovery workshops.
- Partner with Sales and Customer Success to present the subrogation automation vision to Heads/Chiefs of Claims and other executives.
- Define client success metrics, KPIs, and business case templates to quantify ROI and track adoption.
Demo & enablement
- Define priority demo scenarios and state/product specific use cases with GTM and product teams.
- Work with Solutions Consulting, Data Science, and engineering to build demo content, realistic data scenarios, and talk tracks that show business impact.
- Create training materials, run enablement sessions, and coach internal teams on positioning and use case storytelling.
What we’re looking for
- 10+ years’ experience working at or closely with insurance claims organizations with a strong focus on subrogation/recovery.
- Hands on knowledge across personal and commercial lines, with emphasis on auto, property, and workers’ compensation.
- Deep understanding of the US insurance ecosystem claims workflows, and state level legal/regulatory nuances affecting subrogation.
- Excellent communicator: able to make complex concepts simple and tailor messaging to technical and executive audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders concurrently and deliver recommendations that drive product and commercial decisions.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as needed (specify % if required)
Nice to have
- Experience with claims automation platforms, analytics, or AI-driven detection tools.
- Prior experience in presales, product marketing, or solutions consulting roles.
- Familiarity with KPI frameworks and building business cases for technology investments.
