Join Yum! Brands as a Sr. Specialist, Sales Tax Compliance where you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams including Shared Services (Tax Compliance, AP, AR, Lease, and Project Costing), Corporate Tax, Brand Legal, Development, Payroll Tax, Brand Reporting, and Finance. In this role, you’ll also work closely with third-party vendors, state and local taxing authorities, and business licensing offices. The Sr. Specialist provides outstanding customer service while partnering with all levels of the organization, as well as external suppliers and service providers. This is a Louisville, KY based remote position. 


Salary Range: $52,900 – $55,000 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
 

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and prepare General Ledger data uploads for sales tax compliance; review variances and resolve outstanding items
  • Manage journal entries, account reconciliations, and AP payment requests
  • Track license renewals and maintain accurate records in Excel
  • Acquire and maintain business licenses; resolve licensing issues with internal/external partners and jurisdictions
  • Apply for sales tax registrations and ensure correct rates across locations
  • Prepare periodic Open/Close Store reports and process tax/license notices and documentation requests
  • Support special projects and partner inquiries as needed
Qualifications
  • Associates degree and 2+ years of relevant experience (Bachelors Degree Preferred) 
  • Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel skills
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in very fast paced and high-volume environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and drive change 
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
  • Strong systems and software aptitude (JD Edwards, Reports Now, and Oracle)
  • Excellent organizational, time management and customer service skills.
