What You'll Do
- Lead the development of custom Shopify themes from scratch, ensuring pixel-perfect implementation of UI/UX designs.
- Architect, build, and maintain custom Shopify apps tailored to client needs.
- Optimize storefront performance, speed, and SEO while ensuring best practices in responsive design.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services into Shopify environments.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with designers, strategists, and other engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Stay current with Shopify's evolving ecosystem, including new APIs, tools, and platform updates.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience as a front-end or full-stack developer, with a strong focus on Shopify.
- Proven expertise in Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and related front-end frameworks.
- Demonstrated success building custom Shopify themes (not just modifying templates).
- Deep experience developing private and public Shopify apps using Node.js, React, or similar frameworks.
- Familiarity with REST and GraphQL APIs and integrating third-party services into Shopify.
- Strong understanding of performance optimization and scalable architecture within Shopify.
- Experience with Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and modern dev practices.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
