The Impact of a Senior Salesforce Architect at Coupa:
The Senior Salesforce Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing Salesforce solutions that meet business requirements and drive operational efficiency. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, developing technical solutions, and ensuring successful deployment and adoption of Salesforce technologies.
What You'll Do:
- Strategic Solution Design: Transform high-level business requirements into comprehensive end-to-end technical architectures that align with business outcomes.
- Decision Articulation: Present multiple architectural options to stakeholders, clearly outlining the pros, cons, and long-term implications of each to drive informed decision-making.
- Technical Stewardship: Champion a "configuration-first" approach to minimize custom code and technical debt, ensuring the environment remains agile and maintainable.
- Customization and Configuration: Be a hands on architect customizing and configuring Salesforce applications and integrations to meet specific business needs as needed.
- Governance & Standards: Establish and enforce best practices for integration, data security, and development lifecycle (DevOps)
- Agentic Architecture: Design and implement Salesforce Agentforce and Einstein solutions that don't just automate tasks, but autonomously solve customer and employee problems.
- Data Readiness for AI: Ensure the underlying data architecture is "AI-ready" by enforcing strict data hygiene, grounding strategies, and ethical data usage standards.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the bridge between business units and the technical team, ensuring that "what was asked for" solves "what was needed"
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of Salesforce solutions to ensure scalability and reliability.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of solutions, including Solution design, architecture diagrams, data models, and integration specifications.
What You Will Bring to Coupa:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Deep Platform Expertise: 10+ years of experience within the Salesforce ecosystem, at least 4+ years as a Salesforce Solution architect with a proven track record of architecting solutions that span multiple clouds (Sales, Service, and Experience).
- CPQ: Hands-on experience with at least two enterprise-level Salesforce CPQ implementations. You understand the nuances of Price Rules, Product Rules, and Quote Line Editor customizations.
- Systemic Thinking: An "Architect’s Mindset"—the ability to see how a change in a Service Cloud workflow might impact a Sales Cloud opportunity or a Partner portal view.
- Technical Skillset: Proficiency in Salesforce Flow, Apex, and LWC, alongside a strong understanding of Salesforce security models, sharing rules, and Shield.
- AI & Data: Hands-on experience with Agentforce, Einstein Copilot/Agents. Experience with data migrations into and out of Salesforce.
- Integrations: Experience with Salesforce Integration patterns and technologies (eg: REST API, SOAP API, Workato, Middleware solutions, Managed packages)
- Collaborative Spirit: The ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, translating "business speak" into "technical requirements"; and vice versa.
- Credentials: Certifications such as Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect. Specialized certifications in CPQ or Experience Cloud are a significant plus
The estimated pay range for this role is $128,000 - 166,500.
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
