Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior React Developer to join our team in New York. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building modern, responsive, and high-performance web applications using React and related frontend technologies. You will collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and QA teams to deliver exceptional user experiences for enterprise-scale applications.

New York, NY (On-site/Hybrid/Remote – based on business needs)

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using React.js.
  • Build reusable, modular, and maintainable UI components.
  • Develop new features and optimize existing applications for performance and scalability.
  • Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and designs into high-quality user interfaces.
  • Implement responsive design and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
  • Write clean, testable, and well-documented code following frontend best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and sprint planning.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and usability issues.
  • Work closely with backend, DevOps, QA, and product teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–8+ years of frontend development experience.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with React.js in production environments.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
  • Experience with React Hooks, Context API, and state management libraries such as Redux or Zustand.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, Sass, and responsive web design.
  • Experience integrating RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
  • Familiarity with modern frontend build tools such as Vite, Webpack, Babel, and npm/yarn.
  • Experience with Git and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Next.js and server-side rendering (SSR).
  • Familiarity with micro-frontend architecture.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Knowledge of authentication and authorization using OAuth2, JWT, and OpenID Connect.
  • Experience with accessibility (WCAG), performance optimization, and SEO best practices.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments.

Technical Skills

  • Frontend: React.js, Next.js, JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript
  • State Management: Redux, Redux Toolkit, Zustand, Context API
  • Styling: HTML5, CSS3, Sass, Tailwind CSS, Material UI
  • API Integration: REST, GraphQL
  • Testing: Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress
  • Build Tools: Vite, Webpack, Babel
  • Version Control: Git
  • CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps
  • Cloud (Preferred): AWS, Azure, GCP

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with enterprise SaaS, fintech, healthcare, or e-commerce applications.
  • Knowledge of frontend security best practices and secure coding standards.
  • Experience mentoring junior developers and leading frontend initiatives.
  • React, JavaScript, or cloud-related certifications.

Compensation, Benefits and Duration

Minimum Compensation: USD 40,000
Maximum Compensation: USD 140,000
Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
Medical, vision, and dental benefits, 401k retirement plan, variable pay/incentives, paid time off, and paid holidays are available for full-time employees.
This position is not available for independent contractors
