We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Senior SDET) to lead automation quality efforts for our real-time Voice Translate platform. In this senior individual contributor role, you will design and evolve scalable automated test solutions across backend services, frontend, widget, and API/integration layers while helping shape quality strategy, release readiness, and production confidence. You will partner closely with Engineering, Product, DevOps, and Release stakeholders to drive quality gates, risk-based decision-making, and continuous improvement across the software delivery lifecycle.
Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end and integration test coverage aligned with the QA strategy for the Voice Translate platform.  
• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test solutions using Playwright and TypeScript for UI and API layers.  
• Execute and continuously improve integration and end-to-end validation across distributed services, including real-time voice, translation, and agent-assist workflows.  
• Contribute to testability and reliability standards through quality-focused code reviews and practical improvement recommendations.  
• Investigate defects, support triage and root-cause analysis, and provide clear, actionable defect reporting with impact and reproduction details.  
• Define and enforce CI/CD quality gates for pull requests, pre-release, and release milestones while driving automation maturity across pipelines.  
• Provide risk-based release recommendations and own QA sign-off criteria for production releases.  
• Maintain test governance and traceability in Jira and Xray, including release evidence and test execution records.  
• Contribute to non-functional quality validation for resilience, latency, reliability, and operational quality in real-time voice workflows.  
• Mentor mid-level QA engineers and contribute reusable patterns, utilities, and documentation that strengthen test automation practices.  
• Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, DevOps, and Release teams to ensure high-quality delivery and production readiness.  

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with strong test automation expertise.  
• Proven experience implementing scalable automation frameworks in complex distributed systems.  
• Strong proficiency with Playwright and TypeScript for end-to-end and API-oriented automation.  
• Hands-on experience building maintainable automation suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines.  
• Strong API testing experience across contract, integration, and end-to-end scenarios using modern testing workflows and tooling.  
• Strong experience with integration testing and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions.  
• Familiarity with web development frameworks, especially React.js.  
• Solid knowledge of QA methodologies, debugging, and problem-solving techniques.  
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.  
• Mandatory hands-on experience with Jira and Xray for test management, traceability, and reporting.  
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.  
• Experience supporting release-readiness checks and clearly communicating quality risks in production environments.  
• Practical experience with test reporting, flaky test reduction, and stable regression execution.  
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to Have

• Experience testing in cloud environments such as Azure.  
• Experience with performance, reliability, and resilience testing in real-time systems.  
• Experience in contact center, voice, speech-to-text (STT), text-to-speech (TTS), translation, or conversational AI domains.
