THE OPPORTUNITY
Unknown Worlds Entertainment is currently seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to work on our Subnautica franchise and future projects. Senior QA Analysts work closely with the wider development team to create high quality products through bug reporting and regression testing, peer-to-peer feedback in an embedded environment, and cultivating subject matter expertise on their assigned features. Exceptional candidates with less experience will be considered and are encouraged to apply.
This is a full time remote position on a globally distributed team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work closely with other disciplines to anticipate and identify both potential and observed product defects
- Generate high quality bug reports and verify bug fixes
- Cultivate subject matter expertise on assigned features and disperse knowledge to QA team members
- Identify and flag risks to agreed-upon quality bars for assigned features
- Generate test cases for assigned features and create supporting QA documentation as needed
- Support the release process across all required platforms with build verification testing and investigation of community-reported issues
- Facilitate internal playtests alongside other members of the QA team
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years experience working in software QA
- Successfully shipped at least one product on multiple platforms
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to diagnose game issues and communicate findings clearly and effectively
- Confident with industry-standard bug tracking software
- Ability to operate autonomously and take initiative
- Comfortable working in a distributed workplace
PREFERENCES
- Experience in PC and console testing
- Experience with live service and online multiplayer testing
- Familiarity with unit testing and test automation
- High level of passion for games
