About S&P Global Mobility
S&P Global has recently announced the intent to separate our Mobility Segment into a standalone public company.

Position Overview:

The Team:

The Business Operations team is dedicated to achieving operational excellence by streamlining processes and driving best-in-class performance across the organization. With a focus on building a strong, collaborative global team, they support a dynamic and entrepreneurial services organization that values innovation, fun, and continuous improvement. Together, they are committed to shaping a world-class environment where talent thrives, and business objectives are consistently exceeded.

Responsibilities and Impact:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the definition, planning, and delivery of complex, high-impact initiatives within the DSG PMO, supporting DSG priorities from strategy through execution. In this highly visible role, you will partner with business and technology leaders to drive outcomes across multiple functions, manage interdependencies, and ensure disciplined delivery using the most appropriate approach for the work (iterative/incremental, hybrid, or Waterfall).

During the SPINCO transformation, you will collaborate closely with the Transformation Management Office (TMO) to plan and execute Transitional Service Agreement (TSA) exit initiatives spanning multiple organizations and business units. After TSA plans are complete, you will continue these responsibilities in the DSG PMO, providing sustained leadership across the DSG portfolio—driving strategic execution, operational readiness, and continuous improvement while helping mature PMO standards and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership & Execution: Lead all aspects of project management including development ceremonies, cross-functional team coordination, and facilitation of meetings with stakeholders up to C-level executives to ensure clear communication and team alignment.

  • Strategic Project Planning: Develop and refine comprehensive project plans specifying goals, staffing, scheduling, risks, and contingency plans while managing large, multi-location virtual teams across diverse disciplines.

  • Scope & Change Management: Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs to maintain accurate, updated project plans that reflect all authorized changes and ensure delivery within plan parameters.

  • Dependency & Stakeholder Management: Manage cross-team dependencies and collaborate with other project managers and team leaders while establishing relationships across departments to recognize and actively manage project interdependencies.

  • Requirements Management & Business Analysis: Lead the eliciting, analyzing, validating and managing of requirements, business processes, and high-level solution designs in partnership with business stakeholders, product managers, and development teams.

  • Development Team Support: Create, refine, and maintain delivery requirements and supporting artifacts (e.g., user stories/use cases, process flows, and high-level test cases) while partnering with stakeholders to define detailed project scope, manage and prioritize work (e.g., backlogs, requirements registers, or delivery plans), and support software teams using the most appropriate delivery approach (e.g., iterative/incremental, Agile, hybrid, or Waterfall) to achieve project outcomes.

  • Performance Monitoring & Risk Management: Anticipate and measure project performance using quantitative tools to identify variances, implement corrective actions, and proactively identify, plan for, and mitigate project risks through approved actions and workarounds.

  • Project Conceptualization: Lead cross-functional assessments for Concept phase projects, driving the conversion of conceptual ideas into actionable deliverables with clearly defined timelines and generating key project deliverables for stakeholder review.

  • Process Improvement & PMO Excellence: Actively participate in efforts to improve project management approaches through progressive tools, processes, and metrics while maintaining working relationships with business stakeholders for project intake and problem resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree with minimum 10 years of relevant project management experience, including proven ability to execute vaguely defined tasks using analytical skills, prior experience, and available research capabilities.

  • Software Project Delivery Experience: Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver software projects across a range of development methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban, DevOps). Proven track record of applying strong timemanagement and organizational skills to ensure consistent, highquality outcomes on schedule.

  • Team Leadership & Scale Management: Demonstrated experience managing remote project teams of 10+ members or leading complex multi-disciplinary projects involving multiple project teams across various locations.

  • Cross-Functional Technical Leadership: Experience managing projects with cross-functional technical teams, including collaboration with software engineers, data engineers, and analysts to deliver data-driven solutions from conception through deployment.

  • Executive Communication & Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, across all organizational levels including C-level executives, with strong presentation and interpersonal skills.

  • Mentorship & Development Capabilities: Ability to mentor and develop junior project managers in proven project management tools, practices, and methodologies to build organizational PM capabilities.

  • Technical Proficiency: Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and collaborative platforms including SharePoint, Confluence, and HTML.

  • Professional Certification: Project Management Institute (PMI) certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.

  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time to support project needs and stakeholder engagement.
