Position Overview:
The Senior Product Manager will provide leadership and support for the development and management of the education portfolio of products at Colibri and to establish best practices for the product management team. These products support classroom, online, Livestream, and exam preparation for real estate licensing. The ideal candidate will play an important role in defining and building our product strategy and roadmap in collaboration with Content Development, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales.
The ideal candidate will be a business leader, demonstrating the ability to synthesize large amounts of information and create simple, profound solutions at the same time that they manage a P&L. This candidate will also live in the details, driving projects and ensuring on time delivery. The ability to quickly build relationships and establish credibility is critical to this role, as the portfolio has a large number of stakeholders and significant revenue expectations for the business.
Due to acquisitions over the last years, more than a few disparate products existed throughout the organization using different course models, tools, and standards. This person will help us create the best practices to standardize our approach to pre-licensing education and create raving fans.
What You'll Do
- Driving revenue growth for the business portfolio
- Working with customers to understand how the Real Estate products can be improved to meet their needs, with focus on improving key metrics, including NPS, completion, license attainment, and success in real estate
- Collaborating with stakeholders in the organization to drive initiatives and projects forward and launch new products to the market, while maintaining the existing portfolio
- Developing product strategies, roadmaps, and leading initiatives focused on increasing the revenue for the Real Estate business
- Facilitate the development of best practices in Product Management that are leveraged by the product management team
- Lead the roadmap definition, development, and implementation of the portfolio of real estate education products.
- Work with the product management team to establish best practices and methodologies employed by the team.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across the company to accomplish customer and business needs in maintaining the existing (legacy) products.
- Simultaneously manage multiple projects for quality, market fit, and on time delivery.
- Interpret feedback from Sales, Marketing, student surveys, and NPS scores to identify and address deficiencies in the product.
- Balance aggressive timelines and frequent changes in priorities and workload.
- Develop a shared vision for the future of Real Estate education and Colibri’s strategic direction to lead with product.
- Attend meetings, training, and other events as required.
- Assist with other projects/tasks as needed.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and timelines.
- 6 or more years as a product manager, general manager, or product owner
- BA/MA in Instructional Design, Marketing/Corporate Communications, Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to analyze data, identify insights, and to develop and execute new product strategies.
- Strong interpersonal and superior written skills required.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications is required.
- Experience in real estate, financial service, or publishing would be an important plus.
