Job Title
Sr Product ManagerResponsible for maximizing the product line(s) revenue and gross margin, managing the product life cycle, collaborating with commercial leaders on setting and executing against product strategy, pricing collaboration, product modifications for margin management, and achieving targeted margin growth. Success is defined by margin improvement/lift by facility and customer and profitable new product introductions. The Sr Product Manager has global or multi region responsibility for assigned markets or products. Lead, develop, and manage strategically significant programs encompassing multiple projects related to new products or improvements, to ensure program requirements and specified objectives are met.
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Track product line health against key metrics including volume growth, profit margin, operating cash flow, asset utilization, and working capital management, as well as lead the resolution of internal issues (e.g. quality, OTD, etc). P&L ownership.
· Work with strategic insights and strategic marketing, understand the competitive landscape, market segmentation, and trends, to strategically target new opportunities and threats.
· Partner with marketing and provide input to craft data sheets, product memos, tradeshow materials, etc.
· When needed, partner with account manager on customer interactions and escalations.
· Act as liaison with supply chain and has responsibility for customer/delivery prioritization.
· Manage the life cycle of the product from launch to obsolescence by ensuring organic growth through innovation, annual price improvement, and product rationalization.
· Collaborate with operations to identify and initiate annual cost reduction and/or avoid cost increases.
· Based on market pricing, establish internal pricing floors and targets for account managers, in collaboration with leaders.
· Understand potential opportunities as it relates to capacity and maximizing margins and align with overall strategy.
· Facilitate business development through training of sales force, customer visits and demos, and building relationships with key stakeholders.
· Business case review, including capital expansion review and recommendations.
· Define and communicate product line strategy including positioning and 4 P’s. Develop product line service strategy partnering with engineering and operations.
· Drive OEM design wins, orders, and revenue growth.
· Contribute to the development of the CoorsTek product and technology roadmap.
· Partner with sales and operations on volume, revenue, and margin forecast (unconstrained demand and constrained demand forecast process).
· Responsible for program management related to new products or improvements.
· In conjunction with R&D and Operations partners, identify opportunities to implement process improvements according to program goals.
· Interact with customer and drive customer inputs on new product and market requirements and specifications.
· Drive internal cross functional schedules aligned with customer commitments and keep customer informed of status.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Experience:
· Minimum seven years’ relevant commercial and product focused experience.
Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· In depth technical product knowledge as well as strong analytical skills.
· Ability to influence senior managers and decision makers.
· Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.
· Perform detail-oriented tasks utilizing high language and math skills.
Position Specific Title and Responsibilities:
· For the near term, estimated to be the next 12-24 months, the product manager will be responsible for performing the following for a set number of plants:
· Commercial review on all pricing based on age and length of time since price change.
· Commercial review of customer portfolio based on GM estimates within the specific plant.
· Commercial and Operational review of low yielding products.
· Commercial and Operations review of products requiring significant machine set up and/or downtime. Determine opportunity cost and/or machine costs possibly charged to customers.
· Coordinate with Strategic Planning on available capacity by facility. Determine if filling this capacity is a reality or creates further inefficiencies.
· Pull together minimum order values by product line and/or facility.
· Establish costing analysis for order processing cost (both by plant and corporate costs to define what facilities are BIC).
· Drive the customer qualification cadence for profitable customer acquisition.

Target Hiring Range
Annual Salary: USD 126,034.00 - USD 173,297.00
