This role blends strategic business partnership with project leadership, ensuring Kentik People programs and practices enable the business to scale and foster a high-performance culture. You will serve as a visible ambassador of the People function and help influence our collective reputation as a trusted and forward-thinking partner to the business.
The ideal candidate profile is a strategic and emotionally intelligent advisor who builds and maintains trusted relationships with leaders, drives cross-functional initiatives, and uses data to inform people strategies. We are looking for someone who is collaborative, organized, a change-oriented partner, and someone who balances big-picture thinking with timely hands-on execution.
- Partner closely with senior leaders to provide thought leadership and strategic People and HR consultation, aligning people strategies with business objectives
- Lead cross-functional People initiatives and programs from concept to execution (e.g., org design, engagement, performance, workforce planning), ensuring delivery on time and within scope
- Drive change management and organizational development efforts that increase agility, efficiency, and effectiveness across teams
Act as a coach and advisor to leaders at all levels on team effectiveness, performance management, career development, and employee engagement - Collaborate with People team counterparts (Talent Acquisition, Operations, Total Rewards, Talent Management, etc.) to build and scale initiatives that support a diverse, inclusive, and high-performing workforce
- Identify talent gaps, succession risks, and development opportunities; provide candid, data-informed insights to inform talent planning and org design
- Support and help shape the implementation of enterprise-wide programs (e.g., talent reviews, engagement surveys, competency frameworks), tailoring adoption for client groups
- Champion our culture and values, working as a cultural steward across leadership levels and business units
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the People function; proactively identify process enhancements and solutions to support organizational growth
- Remain flexible to support business-critical projects and ad hoc initiatives in a fast-paced SaaS environment
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience as a strategic business partner or generalist, preferably within high-growth tech or SaaS environments
- Proven experience influencing and coaching senior leaders with confidence and credibility
- Demonstrated ability to drive complex, cross-functional HR programs with a project management mindset—balancing execution and strategic thinking
- Strong knowledge across core HR disciplines: employee relations, organizational design, performance management, leadership development, compensation, DEI, and workforce planning
- Adept at navigating ambiguity and adapting quickly to changing business needs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; data-driven and outcomes-focused
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills with an ability to flex style based on audience and context
- Comfortable operating independently while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders across multiple functions

Our compensation philosophy encompasses a fair program for all in order to attract, engage and retain talented individuals who will drive our business and wow our customers.
The compensation range for this position is: $180,000 - $230,000. This range reflects the low and high end of the U.S. compensation range Kentik reasonably and generally expects to pay the hired candidate in this role. The actual compensation offered may be lower or higher than the stated range depending on various factors, including but not limited to:
- Experience with the skill sets required for success
- Demonstrated competencies and potential
- A geographic market-based approach
