We’re actively seeking a talented Sr Operations Data Analyst to join our Operations Data Team in Newport Beach, CA or Omaha, NE.

As a Sr Operations Data Analyst, you’ll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by researching and analyzing operational data trends and supporting data driven decisions. Your colleagues will include fellow operations analysts.
How you’ll help move us forward:

  • Supports Operations with developing, producing, and maintaining a variety of real time and historical reporting as requested. Focus may include, but is not limited to SLA and Productivity, Service Platform Analytics, Department and Operational Forecasting and Modeling.

  • Build knowledge of Operations and departmental business, process, and customers. Consultatively collaborates with internal customers to identify and support reporting needs, even when initial objectives may be ambiguous.

  • Effectively utilizes established data analytics tools to extract insights from data sets; Partners with Sr. Data Analysts to identify best approaches on complex reporting requests, as appropriate.

  • Able to translate data for business leaders and users to facilitate decision making; Guides department leaders to effectively understand and use reports.

  • Accurately uses historical data, statistical modeling and seasonality to develop long-term forecasting projections.

  • Constructs capacity and overtime models for team to accurately determine staffing needs aligned to forecasting needs and minimize expense.

  • Acts as direct point of contact for data needs of assigned business team; Demonstrates in-depth understanding of their KPIs and measurement approaches and aligns approaches with comparable teams as appropriate.

  • Ensures accuracy of KPIs and alignment to department SLAs and business objectives.

The experience you bring:

  • Preferably 5+ years within the financial services industry (or comparable equivalent), with experience in a highly service-focused, financial services Operations environment.

  • Demonstrated research and analysis skills; Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to clearly and concisely present findings back to various stakeholders, including leadership.

  • Adept at managing time to oversee multiple processes and meet multiple deadlines. Able to work in a fast-paced environment with consistently changing priorities, remaining highly organized with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of individuals.

  • Able to work independently under minimal supervision.

  • 4-year degree or equivalent combination of work and experience

What makes you stand out:

  •  Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Business Objects.

  •  Experience working with data platforms and technologies such as Snowflake, Alteryx, or similar.

  •  Familiarity with operational data domains including Call Center metrics, Transactional Workflow, and Policy Administration systems.

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$100,530.00 - $122,870.00
