As a Senior Node.js Back-End Engineer, you'll design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems, ensuring security and performance while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Node.js Back-End Engineer to join a dynamic fintech team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable backend systems with Node.js and Express. You’ll work closely with product owners and cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and user-focused software solutions.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems using Node.js and Express.js.
- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions.
- Ensure application security, reliability, and performance.
- Write clean, reusable, and testable code.
- Develop and maintain unit tests as part of the development lifecycle.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend issues.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to improve practices.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of backend development experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js.
- Strong knowledge of Express.js, JavaScript, and related frameworks.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Proficiency with relational and non-relational databases.
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git preferred).
- Unit testing experience.
- Hands-on experience with cloud services (GCP preferred; AWS/Azure also considered).
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
