Position Summary

Senior Manager, Planning & Governance

Front Store Marketing at CVS Health operates across dozens of campaigns, multiple channels, and a planning calendar that simultaneously supports Rx, MinuteClinic, Front Store, and seasonal priorities. The Senior Manager, Planning & Governance is responsible for creating the planning infrastructure, governance processes, and operating rhythms that align teams, accelerate decision-making, and enable seamless execution across the enterprise.

This role serves as the connective tissue across marketing, merchandising, operations, and business partners, ensuring stakeholders have a shared view of priorities, resources, dependencies, and performance. The ideal candidate thrives in complex environments, brings structure to ambiguity, and builds scalable systems that improve alignment and execution across the organization.

What You Will Do:
  • Own and manage the Front Store strategic marketing calendar, aligning campaigns, promotions, and priorities across Rx, MinuteClinic, Front Store, and other business partners to ensure enterprise priorities are effectively sequenced and executed
  • Lead enterprise planning and prioritization processes, including PCW and new initiative intake, proactively identifying and resolving scheduling conflicts, resource constraints, message overlap, and execution risks before they impact delivery
  • Establish and lead management routines, governance processes, and decision-making frameworks that drive alignment, accelerate decision-making, and provide clear escalation paths across stakeholders and leadership teams
  • Own executive communications, reporting, and planning infrastructure, delivering clear, actionable insights and decision-ready materials that provide visibility into priorities, performance, dependencies, and work in progress
  • Drive operational excellence by improving cross-functional ways of working, reducing duplication, streamlining reporting, coordinating strategic planning activities, and creating a consistent view of Front Store marketing performance

Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing, brand planning, strategic planning, operations, project management, or a related function
  • Demonstrated success leading complex planning, governance, prioritization, or operating processes across multiple stakeholders, business units, channels, or enterprise-wide initiatives
  • Proven ability to build structure, management routines, and scalable operating models in fast-paced, ambiguous environments while balancing long-term strategy with day-to-day execution
  • Strong executive communication, analytical, and organizational skills, with experience developing reporting frameworks, dashboards, presentations, and decision-ready recommendations for senior leaders
  • Proven ability to influence across highly matrixed organizations, navigate competing priorities, identify dependencies and risks, and drive alignment and execution without direct authority
  • Ability to commit to a hybrid work model, including routine in-office attendance in Woonsocket, RI or New York City

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in retail, healthcare, pharmacy, or other highly matrixed enterprise environments
  • Familiarity with integrated marketing planning across multiple channels and customer touchpoints
  • Experience supporting annual planning cycles, promotional calendars, and enterprise prioritization processes
  • Background partnering with merchant, channel, strategy, operations, or cross-functional business teams
  • MBA

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
