PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $128,900.00-$157,500.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $99,900.00 - $186,400.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE: 
You will shape how BECU connects, informs, and inspires through content that truly resonates. As a Content Strategy leader, you’ll blend data, creativity, and marketing strategy to design impactful experiences that guide prospective and existing members along their financial journeys. Your work will directly influence how members discover, understand, and engage with BECU’s products—driving growth while building trust. By translating insights into meaningful content strategies, you’ll elevate our brand presence, improve conversion, and empower more people to achieve financial well-being. 

Please Note: Occasional Travel to headquarters in Tukwila, WA will be required throughout the year.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

  • Content Strategy Leadership: You’ll develop and continuously refine comprehensive content strategies that drive website traffic, member acquisition, product adoption, and engagement—ensuring every piece of content serves a clear purpose. 

  • Marketing & Content Integration: You’ll align content strategy with broader marketing models, channel strategies, and offer strategies to maximize performance across digital and traditional platforms. 

  • Data-Driven Optimization: You’ll leverage analytics, content audits, A/B testing, and tools like GA4 to uncover insights, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions that improve content effectiveness and conversion rates. 

  • Content Creation & Optimization: You’ll write, edit, and optimize web content that educates, engages, and converts—while maintaining consistency with BECU’s brand voice and compliance standards. 

  • Information Architecture & UX: You’ll lead or contribute to website enhancements, content restructuring, and information architecture improvements to create seamless, intuitive user experiences. 

  • Editorial Planning & Execution: You’ll manage the editorial calendar and collaborate with writers, designers, and project managers to deliver high-quality content on time. 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: You’ll partner closely with teams across marketing, product, analytics, and finance to build integrated strategies that support business goals and member needs. 

  • Competitive & Market Insights: You’ll perform competitive analysis and stay ahead of market trends to keep BECU’s content relevant, differentiated, and impactful. 

  • Leadership & Mentorship: You’ll mentor team members, foster collaboration, and inspire innovative thinking that elevates content strategy and execution. 

  • Executive Communication: You’ll present insights, strategies, and recommendations to senior leadership, helping guide key business decisions.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Minimum requires a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Communications, or equivalent work or education-related experience 

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in content, web or user experience strategy required. 

 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Advanced degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Communications preferred. 

  • Demonstrated ability to translate business and user needs into content solutions required. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience writing web copy required. Content marketing experience a plus. 

  • Previous experience designing information architecture for the implementation of large-scale content solutions and using web analytics to support assessments and decisions preferred. 

  • Experience analyzing metrics and data and providing recommendations based on findings. Experience with Google Analytics highly preferred. 

  • Experience with an enterprise-wide content management system (CMS) preferred. 

  • Excellent project management skills with a strong service focus and ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables 

  • Excellent written and presentation skills, including presentation development and delivery 

  • Demonstrated understanding of brand and its relation to positioning, marketing strategies, and tactics 

  • Excellent business acumen with the ability to research and provide innovative business and competitive analytics, positioning, and strategies toward fulfilling marketing opportunities 

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional collaboration, relationship building, influence, and negotiation 

  • CRM and life-cycle marketing experience
