Job Summary:

The Sr. Manager, Upstream Marketing & Innovation will lead all new product development for the Consumer Skincare division and support upstream innovation. This position will drive commercialization, delivering efficacious, cost-effective formulations built on consumer insight, trends and industry knowledge. This role will mange the following brands: StriVectin, Blue Lizard, PanOxyl, and Sarna, as well as additional therapeutics brands (Zeasorb, Desenex, Keri).

    Executive Director, Therapeutic Marketing
Location:             Remote

Responsibilities/Essential Duties:

  • Own end-to-end new product development process for all consumer skincare commercialized launches.
  • Lead the briefing process and manage formulation development - benchmarking, redirects, aesthetics, claims, usage experience.
  • Serve as key point of contact for daily communication with internal labs, as well as external contract manufacturers, to manage development.
  • Partner with R&D and Marketing to ensure all launches meet brand standards and a positive consumer experience.
  • Identify and develop new technology presentations and claims testing plans for new product launches.
  • Collaborate and represent the team in all New Product Development meetings and cross-functional touch-bases, driving decisions and alignment.
  • Manage consumer claims support initiatives - finalizing protocols, identifying claims, and managing testing cycles.
  • Support the team on identifying strategic opportunities, initiatives, and white space opportunities.
  • Trouble-shoot and solve development issues to keep projects on time and within costs.
  • Primary point of contact for all QVC claims validation.
  • Responsible for line maintenance of consumer skincare product portfolio.
  • Support the team on strategic objectives by integrating scientific advances, consumer insight, trends, competitive intelligence, and emerging technologies.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ directly related experience.


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 5 years’ experience in product development for skincare or cosmetics.
