About the Role:

We are CrowdStrike, a fast-growing security company that protects our wide range of customers from cybersecurity attacks. We’re investing in Program Managers who are energetic, eager to learn, flexible, and capable of managing large scale/complex cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment. 

Your primary focus will be two-fold. You will act in a lead Program Manager role for the CTO Labs team, facilitating strategic and operational processes and being responsible for scheduling, scoping and executing projects, working directly with other Program and Project Managers to ensure timely delivery against the roadmap. You’ll work closely across functional teams to build out projects and programs, ensure dependencies are well understood, and critical issues are identified, documented, and driven to resolution. You’ll also be responsible for the management of a growing team of Project Managers within the Data Science group.

What You'll Do:

  • Ability to engage in a participative style of management, providing guidance to direct reports on expectations and implementation best practices and next steps, while allowing them space to determine a course of action and to execute.

  • Promote employee empowerment by actively involving team members in the direction of the program management team, product groups, and the business as a whole.

  • Provide guidance and coaching that enables team members to be self-directed and able both to initiate appropriate action and drive projects to completion independently.

  • Ability and willingness to make time for team members (e.g. weekly 1:1s, ad-hoc syncs) while supporting your own programs and projects.

  • Coach the team in a highly collaborative and empathetic environment.

  • Work flexibly across timezones to coordinate and follow up on work. This role supports team members across the globe.

  • Build a pipeline of strategic projects, programs, and processes supporting an R&D organization.

  • Plan and drive the tactical execution of project deliverables with change management considered at all phases.

  • Help team members clarify business needs and measurable project outcomes.

  • Determine and track program and project success metrics.

  • Communicate program and project progress to team members and leaders.

  • Identify areas of process improvement and drive implementation of change.

  • Reduce departmental silos to increase collaboration and productivity

  • Implement program and project management best practices and operational strategies

  • Track the status of program and project activities to ensure schedules and priorities are being met.

  • Identify and document critical issues, track through resolution, and escalate if necessary.

  • Manage senior level program and project communication and status reporting.

  • Discuss tasks with employees in a manner which gives guidance and best practices but does not dictate implementation.

What You'll Need:

  • Must be proficient in the use of Jira (query/ticket creation, board creation and facilitation)

  • 7+ years of experience working in a project/program management capacity for software development.

  • 5+ years of experience in people management (+ in relation to support of software development teams)

  • Seasoned team coach that manages and alleviates persistent obstacles

  • Experience with systems development lifecycle and project management methodologies, including Agile/Scrum. Experience with Scaled Agile Framework methodology a plus.

  • Experience owning a portfolio/program of products/features, scoping requirements, planning milestones, and being an active resource for technical teams.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Must enjoy consensus-driven environments where collaboration and honest and open communications are paramount.

  • Must work effectively and professionally with cross-functional groups across divisions, worldwide, as part of a team.

  • Must exhibit meticulous attention to detail and have the ability to make logical, timely decisions.

  • Excel with proactively and independently driving for results in small team environments

  • Demonstrate self-learning capabilities, taking initiative in a fast pace/quickly changing environment

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with/exposure to data science and machine learning.

  • Experience with Project Lifecycle and Project Management methodologies like Agile, Kanban, Scrum, Scaled Agile.

  • Experience with/exposure to the cybersecurity domain, in particular the threat landscape of nation-state/criminal actors and their varying methodology of exploitation.

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location. The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $125,000 - $180,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401k and paid time off.
