About the role

In this role, you will be based in our Americas head office in Lone Tree, CO. This role is hybrid, requiring you to be in the office 2 days per week minimum, with 3 days per week working from home.

This role is accountable for driving new service revenue growth through the development and execution of innovative strategies that deepen recipient and professional engagement and deliver measurable business impact. Success requires strong cross-functional leadership and close collaboration with key stakeholders across Marketing, Recipient Services, IT, Customer Experience, Legal, CTLD, and Operations. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, Recipient Services, this role will evolve to lead a high-performing team of marketing professionals—driving strategic initiatives and scaling execution to deliver measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities

Recipient-Focused Accountabilities

Recipient-Centric Growth Strategy

  • Develop and execute original strategies that enhance the recipient experience, increase engagement, and unlock new service-based revenue opportunities.

Behavioral & Needs Analysis

  • Leverage data and insights to understand recipient behaviors, preferences, and unmet needs to inform targeted growth initiatives.

Service Innovation & Personalization

  • Identify and pilot new service offerings or digital tools that improve outcomes and satisfaction, while driving recurring revenue.

Engagement Optimization

  • Design and implement lifecycle engagement programs that increase retention, adherence, and value realization.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with CAM marketing, Customer Experience, IT, and Clinical to ensure seamless delivery of recipient-facing initiatives.

Performance Tracking

  • Define KPIs such as engagement rates, NPS, and revenue per recipient; monitor impact and optimize strategies accordingly.

Professional-Focused Accountabilities

Professional Growth Strategy

  • Lead the development of strategies that expand professional adoption, utilization, and advocacy of MedTech solutions.

Market & Practice Insights

  • Analyze clinical workflows, market dynamics, and professional pain points to identify novel and scalable growth opportunities.

Value Proposition Development

  • Collaborate with Product and Clinical teams to refine offerings that align with professional needs and drive revenue through increased usage or referrals.

Channel & Partnership Expansion

  • Identify and activate new distribution channels, partnerships, or service models that enhance professional engagement and revenue generation.

Education & Enablement

  • Support the creation of training, tools, and resources that empower professionals to deliver better outcomes and adopt new services.

Impact Measurement

  • Track metrics such as professional activation, referral volume, and revenue contribution to evaluate and refine growth strategies.

Other Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with the clinical team to develop and deliver an insurance and financing education resource
  • Hire, train, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of marketing professionals using proven leadership frameworks and principles.
  • Support the annual budgeting process and forecasting.
  • Perform additional duties as required in support of business goals.
     

Key Requirements

To add value to Cochlear in this role you'll be able to meet and demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and abilities in your application and at interview:

Requirements

  • 7+ Years of experience, including a minimum of 3 in product marketing
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking capabilities
  • 5–8 years of progressive experience in marketing, strategy, or business development, ideally within the MedTech, healthcare, or life sciences industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing growth strategies that drive measurable revenue impact.

  • Expertise in market analysis, segmentation, and opportunity sizing.
  • Experience building business cases and financial models to support new revenue initiatives.

Marketing & Commercial Acumen

  • Deep understanding of marketing principles, customer lifecycle management, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing, CRM platforms, and data-driven campaign execution.
  • Experience working across B2B and B2C healthcare environments is a plus.

Innovation & Execution

  • Demonstrated ability to identify white space opportunities and bring new ideas to market.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with a test-and-learn mindset.
  • Strong project management skills with a focus on execution and results.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills; able to influence and align stakeholders across Marketing, Product, Sales, Clinical, and Operations.
  • Experience leading or mentoring teams, with a focus on developing talent and scaling impact.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior leadership.

Customer-Centric Mindset

  • Deep empathy for both recipients (patients) and professionals (clinicians), with a passion for improving healthcare outcomes through innovation.
  • Ability to synthesize customer insights into compelling value propositions and growth strategies.

Total Rewards

In addition to the opportunity to develop your knowledge and grow professionally, we offer competitive wages and benefits.

  • Pay Range in the United States: $140,000 – $145,000 based upon experience, as well as an annual bonus opportunity of 15% of base salary. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
  • Benefit package includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance as well as 401(K) matching with immediate vesting, Paid Time Off, tuition reimbursement, maternity and paternity leave, Employee Stock Purchase Plan and pet insurance.
