- Lead and Inspire Teams: Build, mentor, and grow a team of talented data engineers. Foster a collaborative, and innovative culture while championing best practices across data, analytics, operations, and team development.
- Architect Scalable Data Systems: Design and maintain modern data warehouses, databases, and cloud-integrated storage systems. Lead the development of scalable data pipelines optimized for real-time AI applications and efficient ETL/ELT processes.
- Ensure Data Integrity and Compliance: Define and enforce data quality standards. Implement governance policies that align with industry regulations and internal protocols.
- Optimize Performance and Efficiency: Monitor and improve pipeline performance and cost-effectiveness. Identify opportunities for automation, enhanced data quality, and streamlined workflows.

What You'll Bring to Spectrum
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Telecommunications industry leadership: 6+ years; Customer facing products and services environment: 5+ years; working within a data platform and data analysis environment: 5+; managing complex projects: 3-5 years; leading teams of data analysts and data scientists
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Technical skills: Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data processing frameworks like Apache Spark, Hadoop, or MapReduce; Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and services such as S3, Glue, Databricks, and DBT; Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and data lake architectures (e.g., Snowflake, Fabric, RedShift); Familiarity with streaming data and event-driven architecture design patterns; Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards; Experience with version control and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub, GitLab) and project management platforms (e.g., Jira); Exposure to machine learning concepts and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Excel)
- Abilities: Lead, mentor, and retain high-performing engineering team; Collaborate cross-functionally to solve complex business and technical challenges; Translate analytical requirements into actionable engineering solutions; Conduct independent research and analysis to inform strategic decisions; Communicate effectively with senior leadership and technical stakeholders; Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data responsibly; Thrive in fast-paced environments with strong prioritization and organizational skills; Demonstrate curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset
