We’re supercharging the clean economy

Crux is the capital markets platform changing the way clean energy and manufacturing projects are financed in the U.S. Crux’s platform, market intelligence, and expert team help developers and manufacturers unlock financing through all stages of project development and operation.

Our team of 50+ is composed of experts in energy, tax, finance, government, and technology. We have raised $77 million in capital from some of the best investors, including Andreessen Horowitz, Lowercarbon Capital, New System Ventures, Overture, Ardent Venture Partners, QED, Canapi, and others. These funds are joined by strategic investors including Pattern Energy, Clearway Energy, EDF Renewables, Intersect Power, LS Power, Orsted, Hartree Partners, Liberty Mutual Strategic Ventures, MassMutual Ventures, and OMERS Ventures.

An inflection point in American energy and manufacturing

Energy demand is growing for the first time in 20 years, driven by surging manufacturing, transportation, electrification, and data centers. Simultaneously, hundreds of billions of dollars are being invested in domestic supply chains for critical minerals and components. Developers and manufacturers will require trillions of dollars in capital to meet growing needs.

The capital markets supporting this transformation remain opaque, fragmented, and complex. Crux recognized the missing infrastructure: a central capital markets platform designed specifically for the next century of American energy and industry. By connecting counterparties, providing market intelligence, and streamlining transactions, we unlock faster decision making, lower cost of capital, and accelerated investment.

The Opportunity

The Sr. Manager, Capital Markets - Transactions role focuses on nurturing and expanding Crux’s developer network as it relates to every stage of renewable developers capital needs. This role requires a passion for the clean energy transition, a builder’s mindset, and a commitment to delivering results in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You thrive on solving complex problems and working collaboratively across teams to drive meaningful impact.

  • Deep knowledge of structuring and executing debt/equity transactions, with the ability to lead complex deals, ideally in the renewables space.

  • Strong understanding of financial product dynamics and investor motivations.

  • Ability to innovate and evolve transaction structures to meet market demand.

  • Exceptional relationship-building abilities with developers, lenders, and investors.

  • Ability to independently manage end-to-end deal processes and align stakeholders.

  • Strategic thinker with the capability to refine and execute go-to-market strategies.

  • 5+ years of applicable experience.

What you’ll do

  • Build and scale Capital Markets Product offering

  • Drive the growth of Crux’s second business line, ensuring its rapid adoption in 2025-2026.

  • Serve as a product specialist, advising developers on structuring, due diligence, and executing capital markets transactions.

  • Lead transaction execution, including deal structuring, market strategy, and diligence processes.

  • Work independently with counterparties and internal teams to ensure seamless transaction processes and closings.

  • Gather and synthesize feedback from developers, manufacturers, and investors to inform product iterations and capital markets strategy.

  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to design software solutions that enhance transaction efficiency.

  • Contribute to webinars, whitepapers, and industry conferences to position Crux as a leader in capital markets.

  • Support the rollout of new capital markets offerings through formalized processes and marketing initiatives.
