We are looking for a self-motivated, Sr. Manager of Business Development located remotely, who will lead a team, negotiate agreements on behalf of the company with our CPG partners and most importantly, forge partnerships that drive strong growth for our manufacturers and their advertising partners.
While no two days are the same you will manage a team that will be tasked to deliver on the defined revenue targets for Shipt’s CPG accounts. You will identify, contact and establish relationships with new and existing partners and respective decision makers at CPG manufacturers, their respective advertising agencies and other emerging verticals. You will negotiate and manage master services agreements that enable robust CPG partnerships to tap into the potential of Shipt's marketplace and respective members. You will develop insights-led sales partner meetings to convey the value of partnering together to reach members in each step of the Shipt marketplace experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional Shipt teams to maximize the partnership capabilities in the pre-sale process. You will also work with direct reports on monthly, quarterly and annual planning and budgeting processes based on existing and new partner feedback.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful
  • You have 1 year experience leading teams

  • You have 7 years of industry experience; CPG and sales experience preferred

  • You have strong negotiation skills

  • You have strong sales acumen and a proven self-starter mindset

  • You have demonstrated high level of initiative and organization, with the ability to be resilient and adaptable

  • You have ability to communicate advertising and technology functions effectively, verbally and in writing (including comfort with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office)

  • You have prior experience working in CPG, market research, retail, advertising or marketing technology, consulting, agency or software and technology

  • You have a BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience

  • You have willingness to travel 50%+ of the time

Work Arrangement

Shipt considers candidates located near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, which means that they have the flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at a Shipt office in order to facilitate the ability to innovate, collaborate, and spark team connections. In-office expectations will vary by role and leader.  Certain roles may require in-office presence on a full-time basis. Employees (and eligible family members) are covered by medical, dental, vision and more.  Employees may enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Employees will also be eligible to receive discretionary vacation for exempt team members, paid holidays throughout the calendar year and paid sick leave.  Other compensation includes eligibility for an annual bonus and the potential for restricted stock units based on role.

Pay Range:

Metro Areas of Boston, District of Columbia, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and New York City: 

$88,000-$176,000

All other locations:

$73,000-$147,000

Please note that the salary range above is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
