About the Role:

CrowdStrike is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our team building the next generation of risk scoring and prioritization in Exposure Management.  You will work closely with other scientists, software engineers and product managers to provide technical leadership and strategic direction, while driving innovation in our Risk Analytics capabilities.

You will shape the technical vision, mentor team members, and make high-impact decisions that influence the company's Exposure Management strategy. This is a unique opportunity to lead research and development of Exposure Management insights, bringing together data from across CrowdStrike to help customers proactively secure their environment.  This opportunity presents a dynamic, growth-oriented startup environment for a driven, research-focused professional.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and architect the research strategy for risk and posture scores, utilizing data from across CrowdStrike

  • Drive innovation in risk prioritization, including novel approaches to data classification

  • Work hand-in-hand with software engineers to productionize new algorithms and models 

  • Enable observability of existing algorithms to inform future updates

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and collaborate with senior leadership to align technical strategy with business goals

  • Represent CrowdStrike's technical excellence through publications, speaking engagements, and thought leadership

  • Establish best practices, technical standards, and evaluation frameworks for the team

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or a related field

  • 8+ years of applied machine learning / research experience, with demonstrated leadership in developing production-grade models

  • Advanced knowledge of Python, Deep Learning frameworks, and cloud technologies

  • Strong technical leadership experience, including mentoring teams and driving technical strategy

  • Deep expertise in training models / deployment at scale

  • Outstanding communication skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders

  • Track record of solving complex technical challenges at scale

Bonus Points:

  • Patents or significant intellectual property contributions in cybersecurity or risk modeling

  • Track record of successful research-to-production implementations at scale

  • Experience with cybersecurity applications of machine learning

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location. The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $140,000 - $215,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401k and paid time off.
