Job Summary
As the leader and advocate for Spectrum's Kite Design System, this role focuses on the strategic management of product design and cross-platform development within the Service Experience and Technology team. Relying on UX research and best practices, this role leads the end-to-end product design process while utilizing a full range of organizational and interpersonal skills to help the team to operate at its highest potential. As a senior design leader, this role will be responsible to empower and promote professional growth and help team members to identify their career path and opportunities with coaching and guidance. This role will develop and drive design-inspired process (empathize, discover, ideate, build and deploy) to allow teams to move quickly, but strategically to create excellent customer experiences for all customers.

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for development of new products, technologies, and initiatives, as well as existing technologies and current operational initiatives.
  • Review selections on bids for contracted projects, and provide recommendations as necessary.
  • Accountable for the capital budget process and execution of approved budget plan.
  • Direct contractors and consultant organizations supporting the delivery of technology projects.
  • Champion efficient, high-quality design delivery specific to consuming teams.
  • Instill and reinforce design for the diversity, uniqueness and, in some cases, disabilities of our customers.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Required Education
Bachelor's degree in Design / HCI / Related Field, or equivalent real-world experience
Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
UX/UI or Product Design management experience - 10+
Preferred Qualifications
Related industry experience- Cable, Telecommunications, Software/Online Services
Preferred Education
Master's Degree
Working Conditions

The base pay for this position generally is between
$155,600.00 and $275,800.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
