Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of Caterpillar's state-of-the-art digital platform (10% of time spent on these job duties). Build a world class platform to host a wide range of digital applications (5% of time spent on these job duties). Perform all programming, project management, and development assignments without close supervision; normally assigned the more complex aspects of systems work (5% of time spent on these job duties). Work on complex application/technical problem identification and resolution, including responding to off-shift and weekend support calls (10% of time spent on these job duties). Work independently on complex systems or infrastructure components that may be used by one or more applications or systems (10% of time spent on these job duties). Drive application development focused around delivering business valuable features (15% of time spent on these job duties). Assist software engineers, providing technical assistance and direction as needed (10% of time spent on these job duties). Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices (5% of time spent on these job duties). Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team (10% of time spent on these job duties). Develop a structured application and interface code, new program documentation, operations documentation, and user guides in a flexible environment (5% of time spent on these job duties). Communicate with end users and internal customers to help direct development, debugging, and testing of application software for accuracy, integrity, inter-operability, and completeness (10% of time spent on these job duties). Perform integrated testing and customer acceptance testing of components that require careful planning and execution to ensure timely, quality results (5% of time spent on these job duties).
REQS: This position requires a bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or a related field and 6 years of experience working as Digital Product Owner, Project Manager, Software Engineer or related position. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Leading a technical team while managing multiple projects; (2) Working with developers in the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or HCL Commerce environment; (3) Managing projects using Agile software tools such as: Mingle, DevOps/VSTS, JIRA, Team Services, Rally; (4) Software change request management and managing software product change requests; (5) Resolving software problems and managing software problems in installed software products; (6) Managing install base, current uses, future plans and product vision of software products; (7) UAT activities, tasks, tools and techniques and designing, implementing and evaluating acceptance tests for end-users; and (8) Software development lifecycle.
Summary Pay Range:
$156,998.00 - $183,140.00 per year.
