$100,600.00 and $196,400.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for overseeing the planning, scheduling, and coordination of software releases across multiple teams, ensuring smooth and efficient deployments with minimal disruption to operations. Acts as a servant leader and coach for Agile Release Trains (ARTs), facilitating cross-team collaboration and driving continuous improvement. Advanced leadership, technical, and process management skills. Collaborates with development, QA, operations, and business stakeholders to ensure successful value delivery.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
- Assigned complex and critical software delivery projects that involve multiple technical systems and stakeholders
- Develops and maintains comprehensive release plans, schedules release windows, and manages dependencies between different components and systems
- Facilitates and organizes key ART events including Program Increment (PI) Planning, ensuring alignment and collaboration among teams
- Oversees the deployment process, ensuring releases are executed according to plan and production environments remain stable
- Identifies, assesses, and mitigates risks associated with releases, including potential issues with code, infrastructure, or dependencies
- Coaches and mentors teams on Agile principles and practices, helping them improve performance and collaboration
- Facilitates communication and collaboration between development, QA, operations, and other relevant teams throughout the release lifecycle
- Ensures releases meet quality standards and that testing is completed effectively
- Creates and maintains release documentation, including release notes, deployment plans, and rollback procedures
- Provides regular updates on release progress to stakeholders, including development teams, operations teams, and management
- Continuously evaluates and improves the release management process to optimize efficiency and reduce risks
- Tracks release metrics and performance data to identify areas for improvement and ensure processes run smoothly
- Supports Lean-Agile transformation by coaching leaders and teams across the organization
- Adheres to industry specific local, state, and federal regulations, as applicable
- Knows, understands and follows company policy
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced understanding of Agile and SAFe methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and the Scaled Agile Framework
- Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycles, release management processes, and CI/CD pipelines
- Advanced project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and risk management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with different teams and stakeholders
- Advanced problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills to identify and resolve issues related to releases
- Advanced analytical skills to analyze data and metrics to identify areas for improvement in release processes
- Leadership and coaching abilities to lead and motivate teams towards successful releases
- Advanced stakeholder management skills to effectively manage relationships with various stakeholders
- Ability to perform duties in a fast-paced environment and ability to adapt to changing technologies and methodologies
- Ability to use personal computer and software applications including release management and project management
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field or related work experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in software development or related technical field
- Knowledge of company products and services
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools
- Experience with cloud platforms and deployment technologies
- SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) Certification
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certifications
- ITIL certification
- GitLab Certified CI/CD Specialist
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
- Experience with scaled agile implementations
- DevOps or continuous delivery experience
