Job Description
As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer at Starz Entertainment, you will be a key player in developing, implementing, and maintaining our cybersecurity program. You will assist in leading a team of cybersecurity professionals and work closely with other departments to proactively safeguard our most critical assets. You will be committed to managing cybersecurity risk through a comprehensive, business-aligned approach that ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and information.Key Responsibilities
Security Architecture & Strategy
- Contribute to the development of the organization's long-term security strategy, including researching and recommending new technologies and best practices.
- Research and evaluate available hardware and software solutions to design and plan comprehensive security architectures.
- Develop and implement enterprise-class security systems, considering the organization's technology and information systems tech stack.
- Maintain security technical standards, collaborating with the cloud security team and other architectural disciplines.
- Design security architecture elements to mitigate current and emerging threats.
- Review, recommend and approve security configuration of applications.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Provide leadership and technical guidance to the cybersecurity team, mentoring engineers, and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate across business units to establish secure solutions and operating procedures.
Risk Management and Compliance
- Perform security assessments, vulnerability testing, and risk analysis to identify and remediate complex security vulnerabilities.
- Ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards and take a lead role in preparing for and responding to audits.
Security Operations and Incident Response
- Be part of an on-call rotation responding to security-related incidents.
- Evaluate and address security gaps across the ATT&CK framework.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and provide advanced threat analysis to proactively address potential security risks
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of security configurations, incidents, and actions taken, as well as provide in-depth security reports to management.
- Contribute to the development of incident response plans, coordinate escalated incident response eQorts, and guide post-incident analysis to enhance future prevention.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
- Significant experience in cybersecurity, with a proven track record of leadership and accomplishments in complex security projects.
- A proactive, results-oriented mindset and the ability to lead and work collaboratively within a team.
- In-depth knowledge of security technologies, threat landscape, and risk management. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in network security, operating systems, and security technologies.
- Proficiency in Python and/or Power Shell.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovation and improvement.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience utilizing email security gateways such as Proofpoint, Mimecast, Abnormal.
- Experience utilizing firewalls (Cisco FTD, Palo Alto NGFW, etc.)
- Experience with industry standard Security Information Event Management Systems (Exabeam, Splunk, Sumo Logic, etc.)
- Experience with endpoint protection solutions such as CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Defender to perform protection, mitigation and forensic analysis.
- Strong understanding of compliance requirements and regulatory standards
Compensation
$150,000 - $170,000
