Position Summary:
The Associate Analytic Consultant is beginning to focus on the translation of business questions into analytical approaches, continuing work in executing and communicating findings. Use programming and analytic skills to query databases and analyze data sets. Craft analytic findings into stories for client consumption and internal use. Leverage abilities to produce work independently, design approaches, and help communicate Commercial Analytic Solutions work internally and externally.
Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:
- Routinely querying relational databases with minimal outside guidance regardless of complexity, adding advanced functionality to coding skills
- Design univariate analyses to answer business questions using knowledge of data sources, QC and QA; own results
- Quantitative slide preparation + storytelling
- Presentation of defined analytical output to other business units and outside clients
- Convey appropriate data and data usage parameters to opportunity leads and project teams
- Convey multivariate analyses routinely carried out by Commercial Analytic Solutions, inputs and outputs, appropriate use to
- Opportunity leads and project teams
- Create analytic plan and project timeline, maintain throughout project
- Execute technical work in systematized manner for repeat use
- Carry out internal dev tasks as delegated and play role in Commercial Analytic Solutions maintenance
Qualifications:
Minimum Required:
- Bachelor’s degree with quantitative or life science focus
- Relevant experience with SQL in a structured environment + self-directing analyses + presenting
- Experience working with healthcare or pharma data sets
- Bachelor’s Degree in a closely related field
Other Required:
- Advanced data work experience in SQL (relational DB queries, data manipulation and variable
- creation)
- Excel experience working with data (formulas, charts, pivot tables)
- PowerPoint experience (slide creation, presentation, charts)
- May require travel domestically and/or internationally including overnight stays
Preferred:
- Advanced degree with quantitative or life science focus
- Experience in the following areas: MS Office Suite, advanced Excel Skills including VBA, advanced PowerPoint skills, ability to work in Snowflake environment and dashboard building in Tableau or Power BI a plus
- Experience in building presentations and analytic story crafting
- Presentation and communication skills

- Analytic and strategic thinking, ability to turn quantitative evidence into practical solutions
