Seneca Holdings is seeking a Sr. Compensation Analyst to join our HR team. The Sr. Compensation Analyst will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and administration of compensation, policies, and procedures to align with the company’s goals and mission. The Sr. Compensation Analyst ensures that base pay, incentive pay, and compensation management programs remain competitive and conform to compensation strategy.

This position will manage salary structure development, job evaluation, incentive plan design, and survey participation as well as direct data collection and the analysis process for market, pay equity, and other compensation studies. This position is also responsible for ensuring that company compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with internal policies and government regulations. This position reports to the Director of Total Rewards & Systems.

Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Develop, implement, communicate, and maintain standardized compensation programs and guidelines including, but not limited to, the annual review process, and variable pay plans
  • Work with Senior Leadership to develop a compensation philosophy that is aligned with Seneca’s strategy, competitive and equitable
  • Conduct benchmarking market analysis and budget preparation for salary adjustment programs
  • Provide information to Talent Acquisition to ensure compliance with applicable Pay Transparency job postings
  • Provide education and counsel to HR Business Partners, Managers, and Talent Acquisition regarding compensation 
  • Evaluate new positions and make determination on FLSA status, level and ranges
  • Review promotion and transfer compensation requests for alignment with internal structure and equity
  • Prepare reporting and analysis as part of total rewards and performance management structured processes and on an ad hoc basis
  • Prepare total rewards data/information for Board and management presentations
  • Review effectiveness of current compensation processes, evaluate internal and external best practices and drive ongoing process improvement initiatives
  • Conduct job analysis for positions to ensure appropriate compensation levels are established and maintained
  • Participate in compensation surveys to collect and provide continuous research and analysis of competitive compensation information
  • Consult with management and staff on interpretation of compensation policies and procedures
  • Build and sustain collaborative relationships at multiple levels in the company; build trust by including others and by keeping the cross-functional teams focused on the success of the entire company
  • Monitor and ensure that the company is in compliance with all applicable compensation laws and regulations
  • Understand the complexity of business
  • Conduct all business in accordance with Seneca policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or related experience required. 
  • Five+ years of progressive experience in employee compensation
  • Proficiency with the Willis Towers Watson compensation benchmarking tool preferred
  • Excellent Time Management skills and ability to plan and set priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with senior management
  • Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal laws involving employment and compensation 
  • Advanced excel skills necessary with proficiency on the Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS, payroll, and similar human resource management software and practices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ADP WorkforceNow preferred
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred

Physical Requirements:  

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
