Summary:

In this role, you will develop and manage a portfolio of national GPO contracts for IT hardware, software, and services suppliers. You will serve as an IT category expert focused on the healthcare provider space and support your supplier portfolio to grow revenue and market share across client organizations. You will manage a high-performing contract portfolio by negotiating competitive national GPO agreements, developing strategies for supplier growth, and fostering productive relationships with suppliers and clients. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze industry trends, and deliver insights that align solutions with client needs and organizational goals, with a heightened focus on IT category management and strategic growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a low- to moderate-complexity portfolio of IT suppliers.

  • Provide excellent client-facing service to deliver value and cultivate long-term relationships.

  • Provide subject matter expertise across assigned IT spend categories to clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

  • Develop and implement portfolio strategies focused on supplier and category growth by leveraging financial analysis, technology evaluation, and industry trend monitoring.

  • Develop and implement supplier negotiation plans that achieve meaningful value for clients, including creation and management of end-to-end RFP processes.

  • Partner with suppliers to grow revenue through high-value contracts, including development of growth plans, marketing and communication strategies, and internal outreach to elevate awareness of supplier offerings.

  • Solicit client input through councils or task forces and integrate feedback into contracting initiatives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align solutions with client needs and market competitiveness.

  • Communicate industry insights, contract updates, and enhancements to stakeholders.

  • Lead periodic business reviews and strategic planning sessions with suppliers.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred (Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, etc).

  • 5 or more years of relevant experience required (healthcare provider operations; procurement or vendor management; technology implementation in healthcare provider settings; healthcare management consulting; business development; customer success; or implementation with an IT vendor in healthcare provider settings).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into strategic plans.

  • Ability to interpret financial reports, contracts, and other complex documents and apply insights to specific scenarios.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with strategic and creative problem-solving ability.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

  • Willingness to think creatively and test new approaches to meet stakeholder needs.

  • Prior consulting or contract negotiation experience preferred.

  • Experience with AI tools preferred.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $88,900.00 to $155,500.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
