* Job Summary
* The Senior Business Analyst applies the necessary technical breadth and business acumen to develop successful CDW ServiceNow strategy and solutions to meet the needs of the business. They work collaboratively with a multitude of stakeholders across all areas of the enterprise to help understand and translate business needs, advise on technical solutions, and provide recommendations. They work with solution architecture and project leadership teams to design, document, and promote maintainable solutions that meet client requirements. As a leader among peers, the Senior Business Analyst performs solution design reviews and is responsible for creating and managing reusable artifacts that improve the organization's efficiency and effectiveness.
* What you will do:
* Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify, prioritize, and validate requirements and business objectives.
* Break down complex business problems and identify root causes while offering solution alternatives.
* Gain a strong understanding of business needs and objectives, working toward resolution with stakeholders and technical teams.
* Plan and lead requirements-gathering sessions through interviews, workshops, and job shadowing.
* Act as a thought leader to define business processes, providing options with pros, cons and risks, while providing thought leadership in solving business processes and/or technical problems and relay that in English and not just IT jargon.
* Work closely with Agile scrum master and technical leadership to complete Program Increment objectives.
* Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing.
* Conduct both quantitative and qualitative analysis to support business decisions.
* Build credibility and trust across stakeholder groups.
* Adjust requirements-gathering approaches based on the audience or context.
* Align analysis and design documentation to the business.
* Contribute to SDLC process improvements by staying current with software engineering best practices.
* Ensure solutions align with CDW's business strategies.
* Build strong internal relationships, contribute to knowledge repositories, and educate colleagues about business analysis and requirements within the development lifecycle.
* Develop a thorough understanding of the customer's requirements and assist the project team in applying industry best practices and detailed knowledge of ServiceNow to help design an optimal solution that supports the business process that meets or exceeds functional requirements.
* Assist the technical team in translating application functionality into application architecture and the production of a business functionality requirements statement.
* Document workflows and results of business analysis.
* Assist with Organizational Change Management around process changes and platform upgrades.
* Provide mentorship and guidance to other members of the team.
* Maintain curiosity and proactive familiarity with ServiceNow capabilities and industry / business best practice and share knowledge with the entire team.
* Demonstrate accountability for delivery against business goals and objectives.
* Be a leader in documenting and curating reusable components to increase efficiency among all engagements.
* Participate in design reviews with other team members, providing senior guidance and reinforcing design and process best practice.
* Continually look for ways to improve systems and processes.
* What we expect of you:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field and 7 years of experience in identifying and documenting business needs and specifications using business analysis and system design techniques;
* OR
* 11 years of total Information Technology experience, including 7 years of experience in identifying and documenting business needs and specifications using business analysis and system design techniques.
* Experience as either a Process Owner or Product Owner in a ServiceNow environment.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all coworkers and stakeholders, including Global coworkers. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
* Current ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
* Conversational familiarity with ITIL.
* Demonstrated work experience in process definition including facilitation, process documentation, change control, and process improvement.
* Ability to effectively facilitate and lead meetings, tailoring messages to the given audience
* Effective in evaluating information, identifying risks and opportunities, while possessing creative problem-solving skills with an understanding of business concepts and models.
* Proven ability to elicit project and system requirements.
* Expert negotiation and persuasion skills, with the ability to enable win-win resolutions.
* History of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines.
* Critical attention to detail and solid creative problem-solving skills.
* Demonstrated knowledge of the business, organization and solutions that are the backbone of the organization.
* Ability to adapt to changing conditions, strategies and organizational direction.
* Adept at question/challenge existing business assumptions and constraints.
* Demonstrated ability to understand how change will benefit the organization.
* Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate information, identify risks and opportunities, while possessing creative problem-solving skills with an understanding of business concepts and models.
* Proven track record of successfully supporting the needs of project team members and internal stakeholders (locally and virtually).
* Strong working knowledge of requirements gathering ServiceNow.
* Demonstrate influence without authority.
* Ability to work in a high performing team environment.
* Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information. Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology. Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize. Ability to apply common sense in performing job. Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines.
