The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for leading complex analytical initiatives that drive operational performance, strategic decision-making, and continuous improvement across the organization. This role serves as a trusted advisor to business and operational leaders by providing advanced analytics, actionable recommendations, and strategic insights that support organizational goals.
As an individual contributor, the Senior Business Analyst provides senior-level expertise, mentorship, and guidance to analysts while leading complex projects and enterprise initiatives. This role requires strong business acumen, advanced analytical capabilities, and the ability to influence decisions across functional areas by translating complex data into meaningful business strategies and measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities
Lead the analysis of complex operational challenges, business opportunities, and enterprise-level initiatives to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and improvement opportunities.
Conduct advanced data analysis, root cause analysis, forecasting, and scenario modeling to develop strategic recommendations that improve operational performance, customer experience, and financial outcomes.
Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate business strategies, measure organizational effectiveness, and support data-driven decision-making.
Design, develop, and govern executive-level dashboards, scorecards, KPI frameworks, and reporting solutions that provide visibility into operational, financial, and workforce performance.
Lead the development, enhancement, and adoption of business intelligence solutions that improve reporting efficiency, automation, and analytical capabilities.
Utilize advanced SQL analysis and data validation techniques to evaluate complex datasets across multiple systems and ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of reporting.
Partner with technical teams to improve data models, reporting structures, data governance practices, and enterprise data quality standards.
Establish and maintain documentation standards, business definitions, reporting methodologies, and analytical best practices to promote consistency and scalability.
Analyze workforce productivity, labor effectiveness, utilization, and operational efficiency metrics to identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and resource optimization.
Develop performance measurement frameworks and provide strategic recommendations that improve operational effectiveness while maintaining quality and service standards.
Serve as a primary analytical partner to senior leaders by presenting insights, trends, risks, and recommendations through executive-level reporting and data storytelling.
Translate complex analytical findings into clear business insights, strategic priorities, and actionable recommendations for stakeholders at all levels.
Provide mentorship, guidance, and subject matter expertise to Business Analysts by supporting analytical approaches, reporting methodologies, and professional development.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance analytical capabilities, reporting processes, and team effectiveness.

Education
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Management, or a related field required.
Advanced degree or relevant professional certifications preferred.
Certifications such as Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst, Tableau Desktop Specialist, Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Lean Six Sigma, or similar preferred.
Experience
Required: Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in business analysis, business intelligence, operational analytics, data analytics, or a related analytical discipline.
Required: Demonstrated experience leading complex analytical initiatives and delivering data-driven recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Required: Advanced experience developing dashboards, reporting frameworks, and data visualization solutions using business intelligence tools.
Required: Advanced proficiency writing SQL queries and analyzing complex datasets across multiple systems.
Preferred: Experience supporting healthcare, pharmacy, logistics, or other operations-focused organizations.
Preferred: Experience establishing data governance practices, reporting standards, and analytical frameworks.
Preferred: Experience mentoring analysts or serving as a subject matter expert within an analytics function.
Preferred: Experience with enterprise data platforms, reporting tools, and systems such as Workday, SQL Server, Snowflake, or similar technologies.

This job is fully remote

Schedule: This is a full-time position with an expectation to work an average of 40 hours per week and be available outside of normal business hours to meet customer expectations on an ad-hoc basis. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
