This individual will either work hybrid from the Richfield, OH office 2 days per week or work fully remote from the USA, if not local to the office.National Interstate’s culture is built on connection, shared learning, and strong relationships. To support this, employees in this role are expected to be on-site a minimum of two days a week, with the potential to work three days remotely. Core in‑office days are Tuesday and Wednesday but will be determined by business needs.Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities- Designs, programs, builds, and deploys software applications and systems that support various business and insurance processes.
- Drives the implementation of new features and functionalities based on business requirements, enhancing the overall user experience. Ensures seamless integration of new applications with existing systems, minimizing disruptions to business operations.
- Supports software testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities by correcting programming errors, responding to scope changes, and coding software enhancements
- Develops technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to design and implement integration solutions that enhance data flow and system interoperability.
- Monitors and optimizes application performance, identifying and resolving any issues that may impact system efficiency. Conducts regular performance assessments and implements improvements to ensure applications run smoothly and efficiently.
- Provides technical support to end-users, addressing and resolving application-related issues in a timely manner.
- Develops and maintains documentation for troubleshooting procedures and best practices.
- Collaborates with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements. Provides regular updates on project status and progress.
- Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvements and implements solutions that enhance overall system performance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
