Design, build, and optimize native Android applications. Integrate RESTful backends, implement responsive UIs, handle offline storage and threading, use sensors, and automate code quality and CI/CD pipelines.
- 7+ years of experience in native Android development
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
- Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces.
- Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers
- Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks]
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
- Ensure self and peers are actively seeking ways to objectively measure productivity. (i.e., SonarQube Findbugs). This will include a focus on automating code quality, code performance, unit testing, and build processing in the CI/CD pipeline (RTC, Jenkins, RLM)
Compensation, Benefits and Duration
Minimum Compensation: USD 36,000
Maximum Compensation: USD 126,000
Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
