Description

is a business-in-a-box platform enabling registered dietitians to start and scale private practices that accept health insurance. We provide all of the software needed to run a thriving practice + administrative services like insurance contracting, eligibility verification, customer support, claims billing, and even patient acquisition.

The Opportunity:

Berry Street is tackling America’s most comprehensive health crisis: food. More than half of Americans are struggling with their relationship with food, are clinically overweight, or suffer from a chronic condition linked to their diet.

Nutrition therapy is clinically proven to make a difference, and most commercial health insurance plans cover it at $0 out-of-pocket. Berry Street empowers registered dietitians to launch and grow in-network private practices. We’re creating game-changing technology to build America’s largest dietitian network and ensure that anyone can access the help they need.

Since launching in January 2023, we’ve grown to over 1,100 providers on our platform and tens of thousands of patients served, across all 50 states. We’re a Series B company backed by top VCs like Northzone, Sofina, and FJ Labs, as well as angel investors like the founders of Revolut, Spring, Grow Therapy, and Unified Vision.

This is where you come in

We’re a small team with a big mission. We move fast, solve hard problems, and take pride in building things the right way. The truth is: this is a demanding job. It requires focus, urgency, and often, time outside of traditional hours.

If you’re looking for a predictable 40-hour workweek, this isn’t the right fit. But if you want to grow quickly, take real ownership, and see the direct impact of your work every day—you’ll find that the challenge is well worth it. We’re all here for the same reason: to build something meaningful and lasting.

What you'll do

  • Own Berry Street's data transformation layer by developing scalable patterns that support consistent BI tool integration across business verticals
  • Deliver production-ready data sets that enable stakeholders across product, marketing, and operations to self-serve analytics with confidence in data quality and consistency
  • Build and maintain Berry Street's data infrastructure using software engineering best practices, including version control, automated testing, and continuous integration for all analytics code
  • Establish data quality standards with proactive monitoring and alerting systems that catch issues before they impact business decisions or reporting
  • Enable data-driven decision making by creating intuitive, well-documented data models that allow business users to answer complex questions independently
Requirements
  • 3+ years building end-to-end data solutions, from raw data ingestion through transformation to analytics-ready datasets, with expertise in modern transformation tools like dbt
  • Full-stack data mindset - comfortable owning the entire data pipeline from extraction through transformation, applying software engineering rigor to ensure reliability and scalability
  • Advanced SQL and Python skills for complex data transformations, with the ability to optimize for both performance and maintainability in cloud data warehouses
  • Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS/GCP) including data warehousing, ETL orchestration, and cost-effective architecture design for growing data volumes
  • Business-focused approach - proven ability to translate business requirements into robust data solutions and partner with stakeholders to evolve data models as the company scales
  • Modern data stack expertise with tools like Fivetran for ingestion, dbt for transformation, and experience integrating with various BI platforms
Benefits
  • The expected base pay range for this position is $165,000–$180,000, based on various factors including qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
  • The chance to drive impact within the healthcare landscape from day one
  • Comprehensive health insurance plans, including dental and vision
  • Spacious and light-drenched Madison Square Park office ☀️
  • Generous PTO 🏖️
  • 401k with match 💰
  • Citibike membership 🚲
  • Unlimited dietitian care 🍓
  • Continuous learning opportunities
  • Competitive salary
  • The opportunity to help build a rapidly scaling start-up organization by taking strong ownership of your work, mentorship, and our unbounded leadership opportunities
