The Role
We are seeking a strategic, detail-oriented, and collaborative Senior Analyst, FP&A to join our Corporate Finance team. The Senior Analyst will have experience managing budgets and delivering insights to finance leaders and senior management. This role supports the goals and strategies of Deckers by providing budgeting, tracking KPIs, and acting as a key conduit of company and business unit performance – with direct support to global IT and other enterprise organizations. A strong candidate will be well-versed in corporate finance and accounting, have strong technical skills in financial modeling and data management, and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Your Impact
- Own global enterprise budgeting and KPI reporting for IT, delivering variance analysis and clear communication of enterprise needs, business unit performance, and company-level results.
- Lead financial planning and resource allocation for global technology investments, translating strategic initiatives into actionable financial roadmaps.
- Analyze and track capitalized technology labor and project costs in compliance with accounting standards and internal capitalization policies.
- Provide guidance on capitalization treatment for software development and internal projects in partnership with technology and accounting teams.
- Develop business cases, investment rationale, ROI assessments, and conduct post-mortem reviews to support investment decisions and drive accountability.
- Design and maintain enterprise reporting models that distill large datasets into clear, actionable insights for cross-functional partners.
- Partner with IT and other enterprise leaders to model scenarios, evaluate trade-offs, and support vendor and workforce planning decisions.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase forecast accuracy, improve planning cycles, and elevate reporting quality.
- Track and manage accruals and purchase orders to ensure accurate expense capture and alignment to plan.
- Support FP&A Manager with budgeting and KPI reporting across other global enterprise functions, including Operations, HR, Finance, Legal & Communications
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science or related quantitative field.
- 3-5 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or financial reporting.
- Strong expertise with financial systems and reporting tools (Hyperion, Dodeca, Excel, Power BI).
- Experience with budgeting, SG&A reporting, or executive-level performance management.
- A strong communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders across Finance, IT, People and executive teams.
- Understanding of labor capitalization rules and technology strategic investment planning.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Analytical and systems-savvy, with experience using financial data to drive business outcomes.
- Strategic yet hands-on, with a passion for improving processes and leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Comfortable operating in a global, matrixed organization and navigating ambiguity to deliver results

$95,000 - $105,000
The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in Goleta, CA. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
