CNO Financial Group is hiring a Sr Accounting & Financial Reporting Analyst to coordinate the accounting, reporting and financial statement preparation for our Bermuda reinsurance entity (CNO BRe) and assist with driving automation and leveraging technology to improve our reporting processes..

As a Sr Accounting & Financial Reporting Analyst, your responsibilities will include:
Providing reporting and financial statement analysis support.
Preparing periodic financial statements and regulatory filings.
Preparing journal entries and reconciliations with support that provides adequate audit evidence.
Providing documentation and analysis that supports financial statements, including identifying and resolving potential issues.
Explaining significant fluctuations between actual results for the current and prior periods and plan.
Preparing/creating complex calculations and analysis critical to the financial statements using advanced accounting concepts and technology with minimal guidance.
Documenting of processes and controls.
Preparing disclosures required in the regulatory filings.
Leading assigned strategic projects and initiatives requiring collaboration with various levels within the organization.
Communicating and presenting information to various levels within the organization including senior management as well as external auditors and vendors.
Contributing to the maintenance of a strong internal control environment, meeting SOX and Bermuda regulatory objectives.
Collaborating with the FP&A, Tax and investments teams.
Identifying opportunities to streamline reporting and enhance efficiency through automation, and actively learning new tools and approaches by working independently and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Enabling systems and data sources to communicate with each other through process integration, automation, and effective use of tools like Power BI, Denodo, and Power Automate.
The Sr Accounting & Financial Reporting Analyst position is well-suited for you if you:
Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
Are able to identify and resolve complex accounting problems.
Can work independently as well as with a team.
Are able to analyze problems and implement solutions.
Demonstrate experience analyzing large data sets.
Are detail-oriented.
Possess a strong understanding of accounting principles.
What you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Five years of experience in accounting and financial reporting.
Ability to travel up to 3 times per year to Carmel Corporate Campus.
What will set you apart:
Masters Degree in Accounting or MBA.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Experience in the insurance industry.
Experience with AI and process automation.
Experience or interest in systems integration, data connectivity, or building automated workflows that allow tools and platforms to exchange information seamlessly.

Compensation
