Sayari is looking for a decisive, highly organized, and motivated Senior Accountant to join our lean, fast-paced finance team. This is a hands-on role for an operator who loves getting into the weeds of the general ledger, rolling up their sleeves to solve complex problems, and taking true initiative to keep workflows moving efficiently.
In this role, you will play a versatile part in supporting the accounting team across our day-to-day operations. You will assist with optimizing our accounts payable (AP) workflows, supporting our revenue recognition processes, driving month-end close reconciliations, and maintaining pristine audit readiness. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accounting Team Support: Partner closely with the accounting and finance teams to support core operational lanes, acting as a proactive problem solver who keeps workflows moving smoothly from day to day.
- Month-End Close Reconciliations: Help drive a timely and accurate month-end close process by performing balance sheet reconciliations, verifying general ledger account balances, and investigating variances.
- Accounts Payable (AP) & Revenue Processes: Support internal and external AP workflows and assist with regular revenue accounting, ensuring clean execution, data accuracy, and process improvements across both functions.
- Audit Preparation & Delivery: Prepare, organize, and detail-review Provided by Client (PBC) lists and supporting schedules for statutory audits, ensuring support is clean and "audit-ready" before external hand-off.
- Core Accounting Workflows: Post journal entries, execute account reconciliations, manage intercompany activity, and review balance sheet/income statement metrics across the board.
- AI & Tech Stack Optimization: Leverage and own workflows within NetSuite, Avalara, Carta, Google Workspace, Rippling and AI tools like Claude to automate routine tasks, analyze data, and drive efficiency in the month-end close process.
- 4+ years of core accounting experience, from an accounting firm or a fast-growing corporate environment.
- CPA License preferred, or actively working towards obtaining it.
- Experience preparing financial statements, journal entries, account reconciliations, and PBC lists.
- Tech-savvy mindset with a strong interest in utilizing AI tools (like Claude) to optimize financial workflows, data analysis, and documentation.
- Strong technical foundation in full-cycle accounting, transactional reconciliations, and balance sheet hygiene.
- Nice-to-Have: Direct experience working in high-growth B2B SaaS, or familiarity with multi-currency intercompany activity or sales tax nexus configurations.
The target base salary for this position is $112,000-$137,500 plus bonus and equity. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, candidate experience and expertise, internal peer equity, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
