This position is responsible for assisting in monthly close activities focusing on the chargeback accrual, posting of payments, processing of manual chargebacks, reconciliation of open balances, preparation of chargeback reserves schedules, processing of POROS commissions payments and discrepancy processing at the supplier level impacting the business groups. This role reports to the Manager of Supplier Chargeback Accounting on the US Supplier Accounting team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform day to day month end close activities, including manual journal entries, account reconciliations, & roll-forwards/other analyses
- Perform analyses, record periodic, recurring journal entries based on business rules
- Liaise with Management to provide insight into significant account balance fluctuations
- Support initiatives with BU Finance teams to drive process improvements and ensure accurate accounting
- Prepare general ledger account reconciliations and related journal entries for chargebacks, clawbacks, open balances and related reserves
- Record monthly chargeback accruals, related reporting and distribute to internal customers while meeting all internal deadlines
- Record monthly POROS chargeback accruals, reserves and related commissions expense
- Record monthly supplier payments and perform reclasses as needed
- Works closely with AP to analyze and resolve open items on supplier statements
- Works with suppliers and the Contracts team to review discrepancy drivers, resolve disputed items and identify opportunities to reduce future rejections.
- Perform SOX testing on select accounts and consolidate testing results
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
Typically 3 to 5 or more years of increasing responsibility in terms of any applicable professional experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Experience in Distribution / Healthcare industry preferred
- Intermediate level Excel skills required
- General proficiency of tools and systems (HFM, PBCS, Concur)
- Experience gathering and interpreting data
TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
The posted range for this position is $62,305 to $97,352 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.
This position is eligible for a bonus not reflected in the posted range.
