**Starting pay range is between $24.86-$27/hr**

Job Summary
Under general supervision, assists with leading day-to-day operations of the Colorado Medical Assistance Program contract. Help to assist Enrollment Specialists with various CBMS and technical difficulties. Participate in coordinating and performing new candidate interviews. Identifies, researches, and resolves complex problems by assisting Enrollment staff to resolve as many issues as possible without escalation to management. Support management by making decisions regarding whether client information meets requirements for programs when circumstances require exceptions from, or interpretations of, the rules. Works and collaborates directly with both internal and external partners such as State entities, other departments and community organizations.
Essential Functions:

  • Identifies, researches, and resolves complex case problems by assisting Enrollment staff. (10%)
  • Assist with setting up phones and systems used by Enrollment staff. (10%)
  • Assist Enrollment staff to resolve as many issues as possible without escalation to management. (10%)
  • Assist in developing and mentoring new Enrollment staff. (10%)
  • Monitors contract deliverables and operational trends to ensure compliance. (10%)
  • Assist in resolving disputes from upset clients. (10%)
  • Identifies and submits rewards for recognizing Enrollment staff for providing great customer service. (10%)
  • Actively identifies problems and opportunities for improvement. (10%)
  • Identifies appropriate solutions and involves others in the implementation process. (5%)
  • Communicates findings and recommendations with department leadership. (5%)
  • Makes decisions regarding whether client information meets requirements for programs when circumstances require exceptions from or interpretations of the rules. (5%)
  • Effective analysis and use of management data and reports to establish standards to monitor and improve performance. (5%)

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required

Work Experience:

  • 1-3 years two years of relevant administrative health care experience. Required

Licenses:

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Advanced knowledge of health care administration, including Medicaid and CHP+ eligibility and enrollment policy and processes.
    • Knowledge of eligibility determination systems, preferably CBMS.
    • Advanced knowledge of federal and Colorado statutes, legislative initiatives and regulations, as well as federal, State and local policies.
    • Skilled in analytical thinking, problem solving, and process improvement.
    • Skilled in providing excellent customer service.
    • Ability to communicate effectively.
    • Ability to disseminate program information, policies, rules and/or regulations.
    • Ability to simultaneously coordinate and manage several functions, programs, and projects in various stages of completion.
    • Ability to consistently implement department and organizational policies and procedures.
    • Ability to work in teams to get projects done, and to work with those at all levels of the organization.
    • Knowledge of medical assistance programs and the State CBMS system.
    • Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    • Software and systems such as Salesforce, Five9, Epic, and CBMS.
    • Ability to learn new computer applications.
