Primary Purpose
This position provides critical support to drive Private Brands (PB) sales, margin and penetration in collaboration with the Category, Merchandising and Pricing teams for an assigned category area. Provides key partnerships with category teams to ensure that Private Brands can drive local objectives. In conjunction with the PB Category Development Manager, short- and long-term strategic plans at the category level, including but not limited to category business plans, annual planning, and new item development.
Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days .

Duties and Responsibilities
- Supports category business meetings with category teams to review performance metrics, long range plans and shared opportunities.
- Assists the management and analysis/reporting all category aspects related to Private Brands for US local brands including product quality and financial performance.
- Assists and lead development of PB business plans and targets including sales, profit, penetration, and unit growth.
- Assists with providing category insights into competition, Best in Class (BIC) programs, industry and consumer trends to recognize opportunity areas.
- Supports development of innovation across assigned categories and responds to the insights and latest trends to meet or exceed the Brand's shopper expectations.
- Supports/performs the development and launch of new Private Brand products and end-to-end process for product development.
- Assists with driving Brand's PB category plans and strategic category reviews that bring impact and influence to move business and decisions forward.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or related level of experience in the specific Fresh retail category management area.
- At least 1 year experience in a category management support role
- Good discernment and the validated ability to provide strong customer service to partners

- Strong communication & presentation skills (verbal and written)
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, and able to use reporting tools and to support developing insights from data provided, including use of data to state a case and problem-solving ability
- Demonstrates curiosity and an interest in learning and improving upon standard processes
- Strong project management skills, including measurement, reporting and analysis
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt quickly to shifting priorities, make timely decisions and drive behavioral change within the company
- Strong proficiency in multi-tasking and handling multiple priorities
- Successful track record in establishing relationships at all levels of the organization
