You will coordinate Construction, Engineering, Operations, commissioning agents, vendors, and other project partners to ensure systems are tested, documented, and ready for long-term operation. You will also manage deployment risks, infrastructure cutovers, readiness requirements, and project closeout while minimizing impact to active operations.

This position serves as the primary connection between project delivery and operational ownership and reports to the Special Projects Senior Technical Manager.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead multiple commissioning, operational readiness, turnover, and deployment projects at the same time.

  • Develop and manage commissioning, readiness, turnover, and deployment plans and schedules.

  • Coordinate commissioning activities across electrical, mechanical, controls, network, and critical infrastructure systems.

  • Lead project turnover from construction completion through operational acceptance and fleet integration.

  • Coordinate Integrated Systems Testing, Functional Performance Testing, Factory Acceptance Testing, Site Acceptance Testing, and other required commissioning activities.

  • Ensure commissioning and testing activities follow approved procedures, project requirements, safety standards, and Switch protocols.

  • Coordinate work across Construction, Engineering, Operations, commissioning agents, vendors, contractors, and other project stakeholders.

  • Develop and maintain commissioning plans, deployment plans, turnover checklists, readiness documentation, and acceptance criteria.

  • Lead readiness reviews and operational acceptance meetings throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Verify systems meet design intent, operational requirements, and acceptance criteria before turnover.

  • Coordinate deployment of completed projects into active operational environments while minimizing disruption.

  • Ensure operating procedures, maintenance requirements, asset information, testing records, and other required documentation are complete before handoff.

  • Review commissioning reports, test results, deficiency logs, and corrective action plans for completeness and accuracy.

  • Track deficiencies, punch list items, and unresolved issues through final resolution.

  • Coordinate equipment startup, vendor support, warranty activation, and operational handoff activities.

  • Partner with Operations to confirm training, staffing, documentation, and support requirements are in place before deployment.

  • Coordinate infrastructure migrations, facility upgrades, capacity deployments, and new service introductions into active environments.

  • Lead operational risk assessments for deployments, migrations, commissioning activities, and infrastructure cutovers.

  • Identify deployment risks early and implement mitigation plans that protect reliability, schedule, and operations.

  • Coordinate outage planning, maintenance windows, and implementation activities with internal teams and external partners.

  • Support emergency deployments, critical infrastructure cutovers, and after-hours implementation activities when required.

  • Maintain accurate records of commissioning results, deployment milestones, turnover status, deficiencies, and operational acceptance.

  • Lead lessons learned and closeout reviews and apply findings to future projects.

  • Develop and improve deployment standards, procedures, and readiness practices for consistent use across projects.

  • Communicate project status, risks, milestones, decisions, and operational readiness to leadership and project stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For
  • You take ownership of projects from commissioning through operational acceptance.

  • You communicate clearly across Construction, Engineering, Operations, vendors, and leadership.

  • You identify deployment and operational risks early and develop practical mitigation plans.

  • You make sound decisions when work affects critical infrastructure or active operations.

  • You keep complex testing, turnover, and deployment activities organized and moving forward.

  • You maintain high standards for testing, documentation, readiness, and operational handoff.

  • You coordinate teams effectively without relying on formal authority.

  • You remain calm and focused during cutovers, commissioning events, and other high-impact activities.

  • You balance schedule requirements with safety, reliability, quality, and long-term maintainability.

  • You follow issues through final resolution and use lessons learned to improve future deployments.
